I feel like he would have less pressure at the Tigers ?
If the bunnies land LM and arrow their fans would be expecting a trophy ?

people would probably still hook into him for lack of ambition and looking for an easy payday.....there will be nowhere for this guy to hide without getting belted

Very true,
If a young talented dude doesn’t become a model citizen and live up to every little bit of potential the media and most NRL fans are gonna attack
Even now people say he is a lazy ,overrated, passenger
The Kid is only 22 he has had the biggest expectations since 18
I would love nothing more if he came to us .looked happy and trampling over opposition making us the great attacking team to watch like we once were ?

Latrell could very well have a big 2020, regardless of where he plays. Having the courage to put a big price tag on himself, and return to his favoured FB spot shows he has the desire to go on with it imo. If we could sign both LM & JAC, we would have the two fastest players in the NRL, with “try scoring power” as Madge put it.

If LM comes to the Tigers on a million plus the eyes of the world are on his every move. Every missed tackle, every missed goal and every dropped ball will be headlines. Some players love that pressure and others hate it. That’s why he will end up at Souths no matter what we offer, because there are other players to spread the blame and Uncle Wayne is a expert of diverting attention from his players.

It’s also why we should keep our million till a player comes along who wants to tell everyone that he is the best in any team he turns out for or against

I was thinking about this earlier I know this sounds crazy but Maby we should offer him less money would mean a lot less pressure on him witch is what I think he is worried about

Sounds to me like it's a done deal with Souths. Brother of one of their best told me this morning he was almost certain. I guess it just comes down to the contract wrangling but all at Souths are convinced it's happening.

Maybe, but theres no point in us making it easy for them. No taking any Souths players, until they have announced a NRL approved LM signing.

I don’t doubt for a second that he’s heading to Souths, the only doubt is the doubt that Latrell and Rose Garden are creating for Souths to extract extra coin. We’ve been used as a pawn all summer and now that the other bidders have eroded away we are the only bargaining chip left at the casino

Bennet has 4 fullbacks having recently signed another 2. He would start Latrell as a 3/4 to justify the low sign on price for Gardham’s benefit . It’s too messy at Souths .
Tigers have the asking price, the FB jersey and the team spirit.

It’s too messy at Souths. The longer this goes on the more likely we see Latrell at the Tigers imo.

I'd imagine after we pulled our offer Souths would have been his only option. If we come back in at last minute with an offer that blows souths out of the water both in salary and length of contract, he'd be an idiot not to consider (as would his new agent who'll be remunerated based on the size of the contract...).

would mean we'd have a good shot at Addo-Carr too. LM would be such an important signing in so many ways. Would transform the club imo.

I think TIGERS are smart waiting for trials to see how Cini and Simkins perform and maybe upgrade to 1st grade.the same with Walters. We also must keep money in cap,in case parra releases our young forward.LM is to risky a buy.We have6 mths to sign others and i think they are being smart. Fools rush in due to impatients.

100% Agree...

For me we need to offer something that he cannot refuse (Unfortunate but its reality)

I say we increase our offer for this year from the 800k to 1.1m and have the contract for 4 years at 4.3m total..

Lets be honest here we are not going to be able to spend the money this year anyway on top player/s as none really left.

If we don’t, someone else will.

... it's only Alex Johnston, if they were giving away Murray or Cook sure, but most teams are set for wingers and he is not elite talent.

We may even get $300k of that from the NRL?
