Well we can laugh about double chins and brown paper bags etc etc but they got him and we didn’t. Oh well JAC is a certainty right?

exactly. They're the ones laughing, not us. They're probably laughing at us.

Reasons - Wayne, Family treatment, Cody and the boys, his Dad supports them, desire to play fullback, an opportunity to better his footy, fall in love with footy again. Indigenous profile and ability to leverage it. Passionate supporters and club.
Not money...

No wonder we weren't in consideration.

Absolute lie, not money. (Not you annandaletiger, I mean LM if he said that.) He'll get his money in other ways, he'll get more than we offered, no doubt at all.

We need to learn how to cheat.

No way you'd turn down a contract double the size. We're either the worst destination imaginable, or they're making up the rest of the contract somehow. Thinking it's the latter. The difference was too great for that not to be happening in the background somewhere. Next minute Rusty sets him up with a Ferrari as a welcome gift.

I'm thinking it's the former.

Lol, it could very well be.

If this is the case why ??? Personally I don't see it. The only reasons I can see is Madge trains them too hard and they aren't a glamour club. Those reasons compared to the money to me don't make any sense.

Is there any other possible explanation. What if he really wanted to play for Souths ? Maybe he isn't as interested in money.

I wish we got him. I reckon he is exactly the player that we need and he could turn us around. I also think we will be fine.

look i'm called too negative on here and that's because I am completely fed up with this club and I am negative.

We are not an attractive club because we never play finals football. Add to that a disciplinarian coach and it's hardly alluring. What would be the attraction for any player to come here? Would you sign here if you were a great player? I wouldn't.

Can't disagree with you AVO ....something is seriously wrong...

After seeing him in the souths pic what happened to him. This version of Latrell looks like he ate last years Latrell, maybe a flogging from Maguire is exactly what he needs to find and exceed his best footy. Good luck to him, personally think the guy is a child in a mans body with no brain. We offer him everything he asks for plus a million a year and instead of being dignified and thanking the Tigers for the offer and interest and saying how flattered he is yadda, yadda. He says he would have regretted coming here sticking the boot in, pretty poor form imo. Good luck and good riddance to the immature fat arrogant flog.

Can this thread finally be put where it belongs now

Sure when forum members stop posting in it....

Opinions to NRL players from two unhappy recent ex-Wests tigers together with some South Sydney players who had been coached by Madge may have had a lot to do with West Tigers recent unfair reputation.

Not having a crack at you Newtown but what do all those saying “we can’t attract players because Madge is too tough” suggest?

The day the club replaces a coach because he was “too tough “ on players is the day the club signs up for another decade of poor performance and my last day as a supporter

I’m leaving on a cruise today. 14 nights. I’ll be off the grid for the majority of that time. If I sail back into the harbour 2 weeks today and we still have not signed anyone, I might swim back out to sea.

You can get the internet in space !
