The only one-ground fix you can achieve today is BankWest for every home match for the next 2 years, if you are ok with that. **I remember last time Parramatta Stadium was our home ground, none too popular.**

We are still under contract to Events NSW until 10 years is up.

God only knows what the stadia landscape looks like in 2 years from now, but you might get your one-ground decision around then.

If that's the Sydney Tigers days i can understand why. What a bog average era for "Sydney".
Still if i remember correctly, they moved there as the research at the time suggested some massive amount of people that attended Leichhardt actually drove past Parramatta to get there. Never felt like home to me and neither does BankWest. I will say though, if we played all our home games at BankWest then maybe that would change.

Yeah they went back to LO and died.

Bankwest or Homebush could be decided right now.

Reducing home grounds is definately in the clubs plans but I feel we are still at least 12 months from a decision.

They been slowly pulling the bandaid off from the Mayer days.

I think that is because there is no perfect solution.

Its easy for 14 other clubs to choose.

We are in a very unique situation though

Yes, were scared of fan backlash.

To be honest, I don't think now is the time to make the decision, I would be making it in 12 months time to coincide with the ending of the contract with Venues NSW. The stadium situation should be a little clearer and it will allow a farewell year for the stadiums we are no longer using the following year and then start a fresh with the new contract for whereever thay may be.

So where is "Home"? Surely not Campbelltown? Or Liverpool? Aren't they still on septic tanks out there? And where would i get a decent latte on game day?

Agreed. I wouldn’t mind betting that they were hoping to play out of a redeveloped ANZ. Now that’s not happening as planned they should wait and see what options are available and lobby for a ground they want developed if V’landys can get the government to commit to multiple 30k (not the reported 20k) stadiums.

Where do you want our home ground to be?.

Well Birchgrove Oval of course. Where, in 1908, Balmain scored the first of many victories against Wests. Second choice, Leichhardt Oval. Leichhardt #2 could be turned into a massive car park. The bazillionaire residents wouldn't mind a bit.

Pretty much. It is the ideal size and should be the template for any new grounds going forward.

i tend to agree sfs would be a better option than liverpool or campbo. Modern stadium either it bankwest or anz for me with one gane a year at campbletown and LO

The stadium situation should be a little clearer and it will allow a farewell year for the stadiums we are no longer using the following year and then start a fresh with the new contract for whereever thay may be.

Agreed. I wouldn’t mind betting that they were hoping to play out of a redeveloped ANZ. Now that’s not happening as planned they should wait and see what options are available and lobby for a ground they want developed if V’landys can get the government to commit to multiple 30k (not the reported 20k) stadiums.

I don't think the club is interested in 20000 seat stadiums at all, so would need to be 30000 seats. I agree about the club wanting to play at the redeveloped ANZ.

45,000 would be the ideal number. Not too big and allows for growth plus some big events.

So, you're confident of a covid-19 vaccine, eh? Without one, there won't be a 45000 person crowd anywhere. Which makes me wonder why governments would spend any money right now on projects like new stadiums? Sure the hole in the ground at Moore Park needs to be filled with something, but I wouldn't hold my breath on any other stadiums being built in the foreseeable future.

The pandemic is not going to last forever, so yes 45,000 seat stadiums are fine.
