It'll be interesting how Newcastle go next year. They look to have a decent squad with a lot more quality players than what we have. I still think we may go better than them because I think our side will hopefully be tough and have plenty of depth.

I agree but I do think, with the Pearce signing, Newcastle have bought better than us overall. I don't rate him at SOO level but I believe he's a very good first grade half and will lift Newcastle next year. If they click next year they'll be strong contenders for the top 8.

I think they could be a quality team who could really push for the 8\. I'm not confident we will push for the 8\. Next year is going to be interesting because there have been a lot of changes.

Raiders, Titans, Warriors, Bulldogs, Sharks, Dragons, Panthers, Rabbitohs.

I don't see the above teams performing consistently throughout the whole year. We just need a little bit of luck and to perform every week.

Not just Pearce now, but Ese Ese, Guerra and Moga are all quality players in their prime and Ponga & Watson are touted for big things. Not that 'potential' always manifests, as we well know, but regardless, I think they have definitely bought better than us.

Great recruiting by Newcastle. They have certainly strengthened their squad and real smart to go after the Roosters. Its going to be interesting.

We should chase Jack Cogger

Is he related to Trevor and John?

Son of Trevor, nephew of John.
Good genes, eh!

Thanks, and yes the genetics are pretty good for him. Used to watch Trevor at Lidcombe Oval. He was a very talented player but possibly a bit of a lair and could have done better with more dedication but he was very loyal to the Magpies and I rate him highly for that. John was an honest toiler.

The seemingly forgotten player in discussion lately is Suli.He could be the person dominating these pages if he progresses like I think he will. Last years effort was outstanding considering his lack of experience. He was remarkably cool from day 1.

Three of those teams have very good squads.

Panthers (good across the park and great depth)
1\. Edwards 2\. DWZ 3\. Blake 4\. Whare 5\. Mansour 6\. Maloney 7\. Cleary 8\. Tamou 9\. Wallace 10\. Merrin 11\. Yeo 12\. Harawira-Naera 13\. Cartwright 14\. Campbell-Gillard 15\. Kikau 16\. Peachey 17\. Fisher-Harris

Sharks (good across the park with lots of strike players)
1\. Holmes 2\. Feki 3\. Dugan 4\. Leutele 5\. Gray 6\. Moylan 7\. Townsend 8\. Fifita 9\. Brailey 10\. Prior 11\. Lewis 12\. Graham 13\. Gallen 14\. Seumanufagai 15\. Bukuya 16\. Capewell 17\. Segeyaro

Dragons (great in the forwards and the halves)
1\. Dufty 2\. Nightingale 3\. Lafai 4\. Aitken 5\. Macdonald 6\. Widdop 7\. Hunt 8\. Vaughn 9\. McInness 10\. Graham 11\. Thompson 12\. Frizell 13\. De Belin 14\. Ah Mau 15\. Sims 16\. Host 17\. Mann

I think he could be really good as well. Time will tell but he is a big skillful outside back.

Despite having very similar squads this year they were all pretty inconsistent.

Glad Pearce to Knights, that's how the system is supposed to work, bottom clubs picking up good talent.

Brock Lamb went well last year and they added Connor Watson. Bit of competition for spots there now
