Canterbury Bulldogs NRL star Josh Reynolds signs with Wests Tigers

Canterbury Bulldogs five-eighth Josh Reynolds has agreed to join the West Tigers, **Fairfax sources confirmed on Thursday morning.**

Earlier, Channel Nine reporter and Fairfax columnist Danny Weidler tweeted news Reynolds had told teammates he was leaving the club to join the Tigers.

Reynolds will replace Mitchell Moses at the club, who has signed to play with Parramatta Eels.

Moses has requested an immediate release from the Tigers.

Why is everybody coming to the conclusion that every player we sign is coming as a mid season signing. First Matulino, now Reynolds.

That was just the inference in the SMH article posted for Reynolds.

I'd say the answers are yes and no. Unless Foran becomes available I don't see the Dogs releasing Reynolds and without a replacement I don't see us releasing Moses.

Yeah I can't see it happening either, just the inference in the SMH article again bringing up Moses requesting immediate release.

Hope that's wrong. That's massive overs…Wouldn't have gone above 650k given we're paying Brooks 550k.

I have no doubt if he became a tiger, he'd fast become a favourite of plenty around here. Every club needs a grub. That's been our undoing. We're too nice. Look at how we treated Inglis at the start of the year. Souths kept him out there and we helped him out by going soft on him. Good show old chaps. Screw that. Lets get Grubby now.

How could he not be a fan favourite. He bleeds for his jumper, and is a tenacious competitor. He's everything you want in a player who wears your jumper. All this contract crap has had me feeling meh the last couple of days, but hearing this news is building up enthusiasm again. He and Brooks could be the perfect foil for one another.

There's no way 950k is accurate. Some of the figures the media throw around are ridiculous. Id be very surprised if it was more than 700k pa off the cap.

Media reported Matulino's contract is 700k pa when its actually 475k pa.

Whoever breaks the story just make up a figure and everyone else runs with it.

Reynolds would be good for Brooks - could show him how to trip players (oh! right he was probably showing him that last Sunday), how to give away penalties etc. just who you need as a mentor.
