This is my last say on this topic,and its only a scenario ....
We will put this in context,seeing the media flogs want to pick at our great club....

Would anyone have given a crap or made a big deal of Packer and Reynolds leaving at halftime..

we would of been on a high and happy with the team...
its only the media that has ballooned this whole thing out of proportion....
the only thing that will surely happen is the club gets more professional and outlines to the players what they are expected to do on game day when not selected so that themedia have no come back if players know the rulings and expectations...

I am honest with myself, always (thanks for attempting to think for me however) and honestly it is the ***actions of Packer and Reynolds*** that are objectionable and IMO totally underlien and to an extent explain the attitude of both of these players.

If they left at halftime in a crushing victory, it would still be an indication of their attitude, what priority they place being part of the team and the importance of their team mates. Like I said earlier, I would like to think that if I or one of my sons were in Reynolds position, I or my son would be cleaning the change rooms, packing bags, doing odd jobs and contributing.

These two guys have poor attitudes and it obviously reflects in their performance on the field and presumably (based on their known actions) off the field. Its not an opinion, its clear in their actions and inarguable.

This is NOT the clubs fault. It is EMBARRASSING to think that professional footballers earning $800k have to be told to hang around and support their team mates.

The culture at the club is broken and needs to be fixed ASAP. There is a disconnect between the players and normal expectations.

We dont know that from this. It could be just these players.

Not that long ago I went for a position at the Wests Tigers, which I got but had to turn it down as I really did get an offer elsewhere I couldn’t refuse. The thing is as part of that position, at the Wests Tigers, was that in addition to normal duties I would have to attend game days. The fact that players not selected don’t have to attend game days I find absolutely astounding to say the least. The culture at the club is broken and needs to be fixed ASAP. There is a disconnect between the players and normal expectations.

Expectations from players really needs to be looked at at WTs and I hope this does trigger a change (HA, yeah right). Anyone in the 30 man squad, unless logistically unable e.g. in covid free times, 1st grade are in NZ or whatever should be supporting the team at the game in team colours, track suit, business suit etc and stays the whole game and anything else required post game.
Our club appears piss weak at times and it's quite noticeable and I'm sick of hearing about culture, it's just empty words unless they do something about it.

If they left at halftime in a crushing victory, it would still be an indication of their attitude, what priority they place being part of the team and the importance of their team mates. Like I said earlier, I would like to think that if I or one of my sons were in Reynolds position, I or my son would be cleaning the change rooms, packing bags, doing odd jobs and contributing.

These two guys have poor attitudes and it obviously reflects in their performance on the field and presumably (based on their known actions) off the field. Its not an opinion, its clear in their actions and inarguable.

Yes thats fine mate,but dont forget these guys are NRL players and in some of their minds they are above others ...you only have to go back and see the behaviour of some who are or were NRL players and thought they could do what they like ...T Carney comes to mind and many others that have done far worse when representing their clubs...but I appreciate your input and we as all of us can agree to disagree..

As much as I hate to say it, buzz was right on 360 today. They all were.
It shouldn’t have happened

Do us all a favour and don't quote Buzz or any of those numpties on 360. They need to generate daily NRL content, they'll provide a sermon on anything and everything.

I'm not interested what media pundits "think"; this issue in particular is a mild item and the club can deal with it however they see fit. Pascoe and Lee already did comment in the paper, then the media asked the players at the presser. No issue.

Youd think the person most likely to be upset with Packer and Reynolds would be another player who wasnt selected but sat through the whole game, only to turn around and see his so called team mates leave at half time.

Long story short is I fear we all have to ride out the panic buying of these guys who never lived up to expectations regardless of the pay packet.
