Robbie Farah and rest of the year prediction

Where did I say Farah is responsible for the demise of past coaches?

I said its become an easy out for them to deflect away from their results.

Sheens and Potter have hardly kicked on since the Tigers you would have to agree.

It's not an easy out.
It's the truth.
Hard to get results with senior players running the show and little support from management

Thats why he said what he said.

He called Taylor out on the last 7 games hogwash.

His grave was already dug, when taylor dumped him he was never going to recall him.

Its the end of the road for Farah.

**Taylor will try anyone at hooker as evidenced yesterday with Edwards and Rankin. I reckon he would play Woods in there before Farah rather then recall Robbie.**

And this will scar robbie…it will stay with him for life
Too bad he brought it all on himself.
Hes never been a team player

lol it's a battle of egoes and at the end of the day, tigers will suffer coz of it.

I hope Taylor sees our best 17 at least for the remaining games in 2016 includes Farah and JAC. After that I really do not care if he decides Farah can longer cut the mustard, at least we will have a whole off season to bed in new players. To change things around this late in the season is madness especially with us still in the running.

Although I doubt it will happen and Farah certainly did not help his chances by giving his boss a spray

Farah worked with Tim Sheens for 10 years. For Sheens to claim he got him the sack is hilarious. How about look in your own backyard Tim with some of your brain dead selections. Farah at halfback? Robbie must have asked to play there i suppose mate?

Sheens was obviously right though because other clubs were all over him waiting to pick him up ?!

Nine years under Sheens without ever a hint of a problem. Sheens backs keeping Groat over Fifita gets rid of Gibbs Heighno and Ryan to make way for Blair. Doesn't make the finals and finishes with a less than 50& win loss rate - and we won't talk about the salary cap mess that followed with deals orchestrated with his biggest supporter Stephen Humphries who almost immediately resigned when the board sacked Sheens.
Sheens was responsible for his own demise and there were those on the board who were not in favour of resigning him when he got an offer to go to Penrith but were overruled by Humphries.
Its the biggest load of BS ever peddled around based on a comment made by a coach who couldn't accept the fact that he was getting the sack again.
Go for you life

When in doubt blame Robbie,

Its an easy deflection, for coaches not getting results.

Some here can't see it though.

Good luck explaining away Mick Potter.

Id like to offer my opinion on this.
But firstly I'd like to ask some of who are more in the know on here than me, whether Robbie was offered the same option as Chris Lawrence? As in extend for 1 more year splitting next year's wage into a 60-40 for the following year offering no starting guarantees with robbie being a destined to a bench role, easing in liddle or however. I know we need his money but we're other avenues explored. To be honest I thought that's what was planned at the start of the year when pascoe gave farah an option to work for his spot. And the talk of making him a tiger for life.

Now to the current situation.
As much as I think moses and brooks benefit from having a different style of dummy half. I just can't make sense of this occurring now and being about reviewing the performance over the year and making a decision based purely on that.
There must be so many levels to this which and i dont think anyone other than taylor farah oniel and pascoe are privy to and I wouldn't even be surprised if the rumour about JT proving himself to get the final year of his contract is true and it was only during the buy week that JT was reminded about this by his bosses.
There also is no current sense to Lauri daleys comments. So I think that will get cleared up when it all comes out in the wash.
The fact that later in the week JT was starting to talk about performances over results gives a pretty good indication that this is a long term thing regardless of whether or not he is here next year the club has made a decision on a direction and they need JT to orchestrate it at this moment.
The timing of it in my opinion is not so JT can make all the fans or farah can wear egg on their face. I believe it was the players that needed for the decision to be before the Dragons game because they too need to get the confidence and belief in playing in a farah less team. Playing two teams in a row with that are down on confidence and with the current excitement around the club that for the first time in 5 years that making the finals is a possibility it seems like the perfect time to implement this experiment.
On farah. I watched him play, I was curious whether he would play his natural game and he did. Heard the saying "old dogs new tricks". He just won't change. And to utilize him at lock, well they tried that when
cherrington came on. He was lost, had no idea what to do, he felt much more comfortable at dummy half.
I thought he may be playing this way for a couple of weeks until the team plays consitiantly then he'll be back but after publicly criticizing his coach and teammates well I'm now not so sure.
Credit where credit is due, farah played well, i can easily say he passed better than halatal on saturday and he passed off the ground in occations to.
On cherrington he is far from ready for first grade. Had he played more than 15 minutes in the intrust I'd give him a chance but he is far from fit at the moment. So get used to the current Rankin experiment.

It is a sad way to go, I do feel sorry for a club legend who always plays with his heart on his sleeve and at times is misunderstood, but I believe it's time we all moved on, give him his 250 games pay him out after. I am happy with the changes taylor has made to the club. There are head scratching moments but the direction forward is the most clear it has been in years.
But it might be best to recruit a new coach for next year and tell Taylor his coaching the reserve grade side until he leaves.
Win win for all.
Whilst I dont think either is to blame and are in their rights to stand for what they believe, they have both managed to bring too much negative publicity to the club. It's hard enough uniting the fans to the joint venture, the club doesn't need to go through the process of trying to unite the fans as an aftermath of this saga.

Just a side note, I was shocked to see when we went out in rozelle after the game at the Sackville, Farah come in not long after with some less recognizable teammates. My mate said there was a couple from the Lebonese international side, but that didn't shock me, what did was his demenour, he was subdued. He didn't make a grand entrance and no one bothered him either he just blended into the table he was at. I think it was a very emotional day for him and I wouldn't be surprised if he is starting to get a bit down from or the poor treatment.
Does anyone know the real Farah? Because what I saw was very different to what I expected.

Liddle wasn't even mentioned at that stage, Cherrington was the Annointed one at that stage, until it was found that he was another defensive liability.

And this will scar robbie…it will stay with him for life
Too bad he brought it all on himself.
Hes never been a team player

Robbie has met his match

The irony here is that after Potter, we all wanted a coach to come in and assert himself and wrestle control back from the players. Taylor did exactly that and now the supporters are beside themselves. Careful what you wish for as they say.

I'll be very clear on this. I definitely didn't want this because I believe that this so called problem was another made up story.

I don't believe that the players ever controlled the club. It makes no sense whatsoever.

Nine years under Sheens without ever a hint of a problem. Sheens backs keeping Groat over Fifita gets rid of Gibbs Heighno and Ryan to make way for Blair. Doesn't make the finals and finishes with a less than 50& win loss rate - and we won't talk about the salary cap mess that followed with deals orchestrated with his biggest supporter Stephen Humphreys who almost immediately resigned when the board sacked Sheens.
Sheens was responsible for his own demise and there were those on the board who were not in favour of resigning him when he got an offer to go to Penrith but were overruled by Humphreys.
Its the biggest load of BS ever peddled around based on a comment made by a coach who couldn't accept the fact that he was getting the sack again.
Go for you life

You shouldn't do that Telltails, a lot of people will be choking on their Weeties about now. They'll be heartbroken that you have busted the major myth of West Tigers, it's also funny that a lot of posters who bake Robbie for allegedly knifing Taylor are the same as some who were calling for Sheen to be sacked.
Ever noticed that Taylors selection is similar to Sheens, in his last seasons at the club
(Him sprouting that there will be no replacing a player with one from a different position didn't last long. Didn't take long for the favourites policy to come into vogue)
Nothing's changed much from those days. We play good one day then fall in a heap. The next.
And we still can't defend , despite a Coach who spent a whole season yodelling about out our improving defence . We are still in the sewer level as far as defence goes
Nothing like a good myth.
