You ARE special…..

Last I looked anything Rugby League was but a mere few pages in either of these papers.
To remotely suggest one sells more so it MUST be some kind of NRL bible is ridiculous....

Furthermore, Hell of a long way from Byron Bay to get the paper in Lidcombe....

The roads better now though!

In Byron being surrounded by up their own khyber pass retired early busy bodies I much preferred the LIdcombe company. So many here on "coke" ganga etc. I hate them. The worse are the ones whom tripped out in the 60s and 70s - now they are all paranoid and aggressive. Only the beaches and climate, clean air, mountains and forests leave Maggie territory for dead. But it is almost spot the Maggie fan at LIdcombe now.

Pascoe is a FOOL playing a fools game …Farah gets rid of another coach and now officially runs the club ,Taylor from today has no control he has been totally undermined ,do not think any other coach worth there salt will ever come to this club until this premadonna is gone . My prediction for the future of this club is RIP!

No snake, Pascoe is fixing the mess Taylor created. The whole situation has been a complete disaster. Finally the club has come to their senses. They are even going to apologise to the members and fans for the way they have handled this.

If you don't like it, go and support some other club.

What, you mean like the people that threatened to walk away over Robbie's treatment. How amusing. I haven't seen anyone from the "anti Farah" brigade threaten to walk out on the club. The "pro-Farah" brigade on the other hand.

Because the pro-Farah brigade see an injustice to their favourite player, if Farah stays the Anti-Farahs know they still have a terrific player on the field so why would they walk out. My WT fanatical mate said they should have picked on 5 other players before Farah. That is coming from a Club man.

So they have decided to try to manage a septic wound instead of a clean amputation. This is beyond savlon. How long before septicaemia sets in? Or has it already?

No other Coach would've have bungled the job the way Taylor did right from the start.
Pascoe did a good job with the mess that he was handed by the dopey board that we have been stuck with
Had it finished any other way. The club would've probably had to manage a lot more supporter unrest at games and their Coach being continually booed at home games.
And even more importantly, seeing that no other club can afford to pay as much as the league would have made them pay (for a 31 yr old hooker) the club ) didn't have the money to pay him out.

At least now we still be keeping the best hooker that we have .
And Taylor still has a job for now.

So Farah is 100% staying? Why on earth did we sign Ballin?
If the muppets at the club had thought this through we could have signed Hiku instead.

If Cherrington ends up leaving due to not getting any game time im going to lose it.

+1

Your right on one thing. I shouldn't have included the last two questions together
Like you I do believe that that was the most likely reason that reddy was dumped, although I never saw that stated that plainly . It just strengthens what I said
They did acknowledge it , and they refuted the one about the new playing contract.
So why wouldn't they refute the well publicised story about the money deferred if
It wasn't true.
It doesn't make sense

It's much more important in the big picture than a journo's wrong assumptions
Until the club denies that they owed them extra money, I think I will believe the first hand quotes from the players involved , rather than some theories picked out of the air with no backup of facts whatsoever

Because Clubs..any Club do not discuss player contracts in the media…it is private and confidential between player and Club....it is why when Salaries are discussed it is prefaced with...The Daily Telegraph can reveal or this column understands or a source close to the Club or it is believed that or this column is aware....

If you added up the salaries reported in the media when players sign what they are reportedly on every club would be millions over the salary cap....

There is no doubt Farah's contract is backloaded the Club has said as much as to the terms conditions etc they would be between the player and the Club....As for the Benji Marshall comment which all this seems to hinge...I very much doubt they would be sitting around discussing the details of their contracts with each other...

The Club needs to deny nothing...

Pretty much sums up what I said Geo, he'll probably scroll past it though because it doesn't fit the narrative.

This info doesn't just hinge on Marshalls word at all . it was first reported in the first
Week of the Farah story, and has been spoken about many times since. I've never seen anyone one who questioned the fact that he deferred the payments.
So let's get it straight. You are saying that Farah didn't defer payments from his previous contract ????

No I didn't say that he didn't. I said that clubs rarely, if at all, ever discuss player contracts as they are confidential. I wouldn't be surprised if the club did ask him to defer payments, we've been an epic mess at managing the cap.

Still, the club addressed the reserve grade comments which kind of puts the hole in your narrative that whenever the club is silent it's an admission of guilt.

Lets wait until the official announcement but I hope that this is true. It'd be great to see Robbie carve it up this year and JT overachieve.

If true that should be the end of this thread. Look forward to the next one come round 1.

So we wont be discussing Robbie Farah anymore ?…that's a relief...

Or has it just begun....hmmm

I didn't say it was an admission of guilt, I just think it was strange that in a case like this , being a major talking point that most people do not doubt is true. That the club would not set it right
If it was wrong then I don't believe that Pascoe would not have simply said that no pay cuts had occurred . That's not disclosing any financial details that ARE part of the contract. And so far he's addressed any wrong info that's been going.
I've already said that I wasn't thinking and wrongly included the two points together in mu original post. You were right on that, I don't have a problem on that!
Anyway it all doesn't matter anymore as sanity looks to be restored

And whether anyone likes him or doesn't, he seems to have done what no one else was capable of doing and thrown some cold water on all concerned.
With the football again becoming the main focus, we may have an outside chance for some improvement with a determined Farah in the team

Benji was the first one to mention $$$$$ amounts…

Neither the Club or Farah ever have...

One thing I agree with you on, Pascoe has managed to mediate a resolution. Hopefully it is not detrimental to the performance of the team next year. Both JT and Farah should be told that if either of them put a foot out of line, they will be gone. We have Ballin to cover Farah, and I'm sure Pascoe is already talking to Crazy Ivan just in case. No one is irreplaceable.

Geo you are right this is just the beginning , the quote in the paper said it all to me really… Taylor's future revolves around how Farah plays early next season well there you have it Farah truely runs the club and the club has given him the right to ruin someone's career .. Well done Mr Pascoe ...Ayoub seen you coming . Next season is a right off you now have a coach that has been stripped of all credibility .If I was Talyor I would be gone today with a hefty keep quite payout and a career still intact .. Get out while you can .

If all this turns out to be true, at least a line can be finally drawn under this seemingly unending farce. No winners though. Farah's reputation has been trashed and serious doubt cast on Taylor's standing and authority as an NRL head coach.

This is like trying to sell a house that nobody wants. You can put it on the market for months, but without offers, you can't sell it.
