I'm not too sure what he actually will do, and not too sure how this will effect the present lines of command within the football department.
But I am sure that there will be change, and things will get better.
Sheens is a special human.

Sheens has been out of the NRL for almost 10 years, that alone is enough reason to be concerned. His age is also a major factor,i am not writing him off but he needs to work only on the job he is hired for

Champion @jadtiger - I hear what you're sayin'.
But age is never a factor in man management, in fact it is an asset.
Just think Bennet, Gould .......... and NIck Politis is 79 years old.

I don’t care if he’s 70, I’d take Sheens at 100 years old over our current coach, even if he was dead.

Lol just sit him on a chair on the top of a car and head for Qld

I’d take a rotting corpse in a casket at this point

The players would get a better motivational speech at halftime.

What about your main man brooks? Even us madge supporters are getting cold on him, but curious on your thoughts about brooks?

Apparently now he is going to be conducting and end of season review?
As the pressure builds on madge, Sheens seems to be rising up the hierarchy.
@cochise Have you heard anything mate?

Hopefully that means he’d be happy to reinstate him in his original role of high performance.
Old Ron’s probably running out of steam and magic dust.

For context; Madge came into the coaching league from being a PE Teacher and was first appointed as a high performance manager, I found that interesting considering a lot of they way he is viewed publicly is as a motivator but not a tactician.

Ron is going to have more of a focus in pathways.

I think if Sheens was really interested in Coaching in the NRL he wouldn't have waited 10 years to come back...

Maybe he just preferred living in England

That is the funniest thing you've said since being on the Forum

@Geo said you were from the British Virgin Islands ..is that true

Interesting to hear some fella on SEN just reporting that Tim Sheens agreed to terms last night....
Maybe that's why he's not here if the deal wasn't done until last night?

They don't call him shifty sheens for nothing

I'd suggest this is based on his role changing after the review, wasn't he originally coming on board to manage our junior pathways?

Considering he is now the coaching director a new contract would need to have been drawn up and agreed on.

Nothing to see here.

300k a year for 3 years.

??

That seems quite low?

That seems a bit extreme! Could of paid Maguire out , I am expecting big things next season for that amount of money from Sheens.
