Idk about signing Thompson, may be a liability if he can't play interstate games.

Anyone bother to ask him how's he getting back to the UK if the NO JAB NO FLY policy stays in???

Keeping Brooks on $850k, re-signing Luciano on $575k. Surprising we’re not a powerhouse with such intelligent decisions being made.

Lol antivaxxers aren’t intelligent enough to anticipate these things.

Interesting to remember both Brooks and Nofa qualify for our long serving player allowance meaning 100k each not outside of our normal cap

We shouldnt touch him then. Let the Bulldogs carry the problem unless of course he decides to vaccinate. If he goes down to the NSW Cup he can continue his anti vacc stance but if he wants to earn the big bucks and participate in a national NRL comp he knows what he has to yes and yes good point if he wants to up stumps back to GB yes he would need vacc although maybe returning UK citizens have an out there.

Whats with this idea Hastings isn't good enough to be halfback and that he's going to be our worst signing ever ? I understand brooks has his followers who will follow him blindly off a cliff but he is clearly not up to scratch in halfback or in captaincy but yet a lot of people won't give a bloke who is a vocal leader who will win at all costs a shot cause "if he was really that good he wouldn't be in England" sure England isnt the nrl but it also isn't group 7 3rd division either now im not saying Hastings is going to be joey johns but what I am is give the bloke a chance he wants to come here to lead us out of this mess we are in which is alot more than we saw from brooks and a number of other players this season

Is it possible to build someone up without putting others down - including your fellow forumers?
There really is no need to insult anyone that feels any loyalty to Brooks, as it only makes it more difficult to use the forum as a communication channel for when we'd like to read or discuss any matters relating to the team.
As a self-confessed fan girl, I honestly have no problems with reading any negative critique on him but there seems to an underlying hostility and vindictiveness that tries to goad others into antisocial behaviour. It's totally unnecessary.
Our passion for the club is just as strong as yours (despite any differences of opinions) but with all due respect sometimes you should look at your own actions first before questioning ours.

When would wests tigers be eligible to collect these allowances?

Brooks is not a dud. I am cofident he will have a good 2022 season playing for wests tigers.

They get them at the 8 yr mark meaning both were eligible this year. Means you effectively get both for 100k under market value.

All I’m going to say on this is, that the brooks haters swore vehemently that no other NRL team would have him in their top grade , let alone pay him the money he’s on "……. Yet in the last 3-6 months we have had 4 teams openly hunt for him , and most willing to pay the necessary freight to get him .
So yea . Anyways back to the echo chamber . I wish you kept it in the brooks thread though , makes it hard to track real info .

Who are the 4 teams? They wanted him so much he is still here

Hastings likes to talk on the field so thats one up on brooks to start .but how he goes bout it with the players will be interesting to see .especially if we start stringing bad games together .it's his long kicking game we need most .

I won’t get into the good or bad, but I don’t think they will let him go unless they got someone in kind?

The money saved, is no good, we have to spend it and there isn’t much around to spend it on?

The complete idea of Thomo coming here is fraught with disaster.Highly overpaid, refusing to be vaxed when he may well need to be to be able to play next year and worst of all a disgraceful manner of play which will undoubtedly lead to lenthy time suspended.Let him rot at the dogs, they deserve each other

He’s under contract. He doesn’t just get to leave once there’s some interest shown unless the club says yes
