Yes, he is not. But how is Madden an option given ZDC was 3 classes above him last year in reggies?

If he’s still with us (at the club), he’d be fifth choice halfback and fourth choice hooker, by my reckoning.

Nope, not a thing. Suspect Hodgson is on slow burner but will probably go through (60/40 chance). Scott everything is quiet so I doubt anything is happening on that front. If WT are talking to Scott and player mangers, club and sports writers are not saying anything they really have sealed the leaking WT boat.

Yes we need to be patient. Signing up players in haste because they are available has been our problem the last few years. As a supporter nit interested in just signing anybody for any amount because we can. We are or need to be in a building phase. Our team foundation is patchy at best ATM. If I was any good in recruitment or managing an NRL I would not be here posting on the forum. It’s ok to vent but the negativity and the crap comments directed towards each other is crap. Team has little spine as does some of its supporters. Which I understand is ok as we are not being paid to perform.

He likely wouldn't be allowed to play in Victoria or Queensland, depending on the draw that's a quarter of the season.

At his salary, and with our squad having so few spaces left, it's just too big of a gamble to sign someone that isn't a team player

He’s contracted for 2 more years, so November 1 is irrelevant to him.

You put Brooks in one of the top teams like Storm or Roosters & you will see the difference he is not the problem.

Brooks is on par with Brodie Croft… he would have been punted.

Let's not be silly now. Brodie Croft is another thing entirely.

Come on ... looking at them they could almost be brothers.
I put Brooksy between him and the non performing Ash Taylor.

The thing is though, if the club was to move him on, Brooks would get another gig. Croft hasn’t.

And Brooks would have Half a dozen clubs after him if he did leave - The afore mentioned players don't / wouldn't / Didn't

You're wrong about the other two.
Croft was given another chance at Brisbane after Melbourne didn't want him. Taylor was poached from Brisbane to the Titans.
Both failed.
If someone was silly enough to take Brooks they'd get the same result.
What you see is what you get... he's not going to play any differently no matter where he goes.
Just wish he wasn't stinking up our team.

But you see how the top sides operate with the decisions of the Roosters with Flanagan and the Storm with Croft

They don't cut it and are unsuitable ...and they are gone quick smart .....

We need to take something from that .....too many players are given far too long to make it here

Croft and Flanagan wish they could have games like Brooks. They are not appropriate comparisons. Not saying Luke is anything above average but he is a whole level above those two. I think he's not reached the levels wer want due to coaching, self-confidence and the roster around him. Ivan got the talent out of him.

The Roosters or Storm wouldn't keep the leading play maker if they couldn't lead them to the finals for 8 seasons .....

Roosters or Storm dont rely on one bloke. Roosters or Storm wouldnt keep the leading play maker......if they had already built the team around them. Apples and persimmons.

You don't think the Storm could recognize the link between no finals for 8 seasons and the halve being there 8 seasons .....


Firstly, obviously Roosters & Storm never get themselves in the position to miss 8 years of finals, but its not because the cut the 7 early and replace him. Its because they build a great team and THEN if the 7 isnt cutting it in this perfect environment they act fast to replace that important piece in the puzzle.

Our puzzle has had the box shaken and half a dozen pieces are missing.

His box has been rolled down mt everest ...and one of his ex coaches ***conquered it with Sherpas Kikau , Luai , Yeo etc***

We will never attract those Sherpas .....ours get squashed by Glaciers because they can't move fast enough ....are petrified by the eggshells laid by the fearsome Nepalese Chicken .....get lost in non existant snow storms .....and their fans groans create avalanches that bury the rest .....the rest complain of frostbite and then join climbing parties who will easy climb Everest ......
