If they create go forward they should do OK even if they aren't the best backline.that is a semi final pack
Question is can our backs get us there
None at all, he was "wined and dined by Trent Robinson" . Other clubs never stood a chance! No surprises there.
Ha. Very good 👏UPDATE NRL
The NRL has allowed him to serve his injury in 2024 so he is free to play this year.
This is a very correct statement. They suck.
And what is stopping us having Harry T building a few houses at cost price .....if you can't beat them ...join em .....that’s BS man sorry to say you don’t think something suss is going on? every single player legit takes ‘unders’ to stay at the Roosters. It’s shady as man, Joseph Manu got offered 1m a season to play fullback by the Warriors but stayed at Easts for ‘250K less’ I don’t disagree that they are a well run club but dodgy stuff is going on over there with Politis promising jobs after footy but take unders while you’re here playing for us, golf games, buying players Rolex’s… lots of shady stuff going on over there
Every club does shady shit - Including ours....
I can remember at least twice we've been done for cap stuff...
And cry me a river about 'promises' of jobs after footy... Furthermore, Name me a club that hasn't got someone who got a job 'After Footy' (I can think of at least one at every club without even thinking)
You really think a player takes a watch instead of cash?? It's not a farmers market 😂😂😂
You might not be old enough, But I remember countless interviews with Benji back in the day about how he knocked back more money to stay with the Tigers - And we're rubbish for the most part....
Munster, Latrell just did the exact same thing to us... Moses likely to do the same, Harry Grant did it....
Ponga - It happens,.... I've done it myself in my game...
One thing you might not know about the Roosters, Is how they help players away from the field to manage the money they're making...
Like I said, They have brains on the board and influential people - Who know a thing or 2 about the real world... - We've got clapped out old Magpies fans, Who don't know shit about much at all....
Get as Salty as you like - If it were us, You'd be doing cartwheels.....
Don't make out like it's some moral quandary.
We're just not structured for success, nobody in their right mind will fund our future success under these circumstances. That's just how real coaches and real clubs get it done....
Look at the Roosters board, The influence and contacts they would have...
Look at their track record and their coach - The Squad.
That's how they get it done....
We've got one of the richest men in Australia and one of the biggest property developers
in Australia as a backer of sorts....
Can't get him to part with a coat hanger.
Everyone gets salty at them, But I just wish we could take heed from the way they do things....
And wish we had a party as invested in our club as Politis is in the Roosters.
To be fair I haven't really paid attention to this kid....Dom Young's got promise, I don't know that he's consistent enough. There are probably at least 10 better wingers in the comp.
I sort of think the same about their recruitment of Brandon Smith. Verrills was a pretty good hooker, and Smith's huge intensity play usually results in stints on the sidelines and he's a bit up and down.
That's just crazy talk....Pretty shitty when punters go into bat
for an organisation like the roosters
and give us that old 'if you can't beat
them join them' spiel. Wouldn't it be
nice if all 17 clubs played on an even
level field & were properly audited
to prove that everyone was cap compliant?
Radical idea, I know. Would be nice though
Theres an old saying "a fool and his money are soon parted" but being joined to the club by unconditional love and loyalty doesnt make us fools 😂👍We're a 1950's business model....
Until we kybosh the board, And bring in a set of business professionals that can offer something more than a diluted passion for a football club that hasn't existed for 25 years... And get us some contacts with the top end, We're at where we're at.
That said, I wouldn't trade up from the Tigers for any money....
I'll go out on a limb here and suggest the following:
- You have absolutely no idea what anyone in the Roosters top 30 is on.
- You have zero evidence of any payments, gifts or other outside the cap
that haven't been declared.
Bout right?
It's all in the dinner and the ambience. It works everytime.None at all, he was "wined and dined by Trent Robinson" . Other clubs never stood a chance!
