Final spot will not be filled UNLESS a refusable opportunity arises like Moylan, ect, comes up. If Cronk does play on it might create a chance for us to pick-up a top end player from the domino effect that will cause. But don't expect anything major anytime soon.

Clearly had more than half the cap to get who he wanted for his first full season and has had the majority of a season to start molding the players that are already here. If they don't perform, then other than himself there are very few places or people to point blame at.

Just, he will make mistakes. So far he hasn't made any, I expect one or two new signings not to work out. Chris McQueen is one of those because of his injuries (otherwise he is IMHO a brillant signing, we need an older hand in the forwards and even injured he may be good to have around to point people in the right direction).

If he makes too many, well we go on the coaching roundabout again. But I think he will only make a very few small ones, that's natural. Bellamy makes mistakes! The trick is the batting rate and team culture, we stick together while demanding high but realistic standards.

I can't believe we are even thinking even remotely this way for next year.

No matter how the team goes next year, if we boot Cleary or do anything but support him, what quality coach in their right mind is going to want to come here?? Not only that, but what players are going to want to come here??

In 2 years, we've lost Farah, Tedesco, Moses, Woods & Halatau. 2 Captains, a VC and 3/4rs of our spine!

It boggles my mind that everyone would even entertain the prospect of drama again. The thing that has driven us mad the past 5 years and resulted in us ending down the bottom of the table every god damn season!

Set goals, create motivation, start to build to where we need to be. But don't set damn ultimatums because Cleary would have to go Barrett on a player to want go down that path or instability again so soon!

I think people on here just love drama. Must love the telegraph.... Just sit still for at least 1 year and give all the support you can muster!

Can't speak for Col (who is actually Mike IIRC), but I wasn't suggesting change, just that Cleary has a much better opportunity to quickly create his own team than most, if not any recent incoming NRL coach. Particularly when compared to the last two coaches at WT, who had very little.

We already have our NSW Cup halves for next year in Benji and Gamble.

Would have to think the utility would be a fullback first and foremost seeing that's where we're lightest. Plenty of mediocre halves floating around

Above statement Is what I have issue with. Next season is a breakout year for this team and the coach and I can’t see that we need to set our expectations too high …. or again go on a warpath about the coach if things don’t exactly work out with new combinations. He has a 3 year contract and must be given time. Otherwise the club and the board will be in open to “basket case” type bashing by the media again.

If RTS was to leave Souths should have a red, hot go at him. IMO they need a fullback because GI and Gagai should be their centes. Johnston is a much better winger and Cody Walker is good in the halves.

I don't think we should go for RTS because we already have Tui. I would much rather a quality back-rower or sign 2 cheap players and front-load contracts to set ourselves up for 2019 when some big names come off-contract

Yet my "statement" says nothing in relation to what you are complaining about, including expectations and I have never gone on a warpath about a coach, let alone "again". It was written in context of other posts and below yet another post from a serial JT basher to compare the advantages available to his replacement.

Dugan was signedto replace Bird and Flanno thinks Holmes is not a NRL no1 quite yet
