I think Maguire now has a better spread of talent from which to select the side. For the first time in a long time I feel we have competition for every position now (except hooker but even that looks to be sorted as long as the player swap is approved by NRL HQ). Go Wests Tigers.

I would be more concerned about Aloiai. From all accounts a really nice guy but always seems to be playing on 2 cylinders, lacking fitness for the 13 and his defence is pretty ordinary. I believe he needs to start in CC and earn his selection in the NRL.



Wow can't agree with that at all. Aloiai is a gun. One of the only players who consistently bend the line. One of the first picked every week if you ask me.

With LL playing, you need Seyfarth - great mobility, high work rate because LL brings with him the attacking flair which should not be compromised by having to work overtime in defence. You can't afford to have LL and Aloiai in the 13 at the same time. Aloiai has never worked hard enough in defence for my liking.

Yeah sorry I completely disagree. Aloiai in the middle, LL on an edge is awesome. He's not lazy at all btw, averages around 40 mins a game, almost 30 tackles (94% tackle efficiency), 95m in attack. How is that lazy? It's like we're watching different players.

Aloiai is our very own JT imo....use him in stints and he’s awesome....as for no age or leadership in the pack....imo if packer is fit awesome but we don’t need players like packer/Lawernce etc because of their leadership...I’m predicting Twal to take and hold the pack leader role

The forum has been great the last few weeks I’ve enjoyed chatting to everyone ???

Amazing what a decent signing or two can do to brighten the place up. Like a new coat of paint lol.

People understandably have been a bit anxious about recruitment over this off season, especially considering our loses and the unsuccessful attempt to snare a big name player. It’s easy to feel a bit antsy when you’re in the dark and have no idea what the club is doing behind scenes and all we’re drip fed is negative news about us all the time.

Some people have remained patient and positive the whole time no matter what was happening, I wasn’t one of them. After nearly a decade of non-success and disappointment I just find it hard to be that patient anymore. These latest signings and the club’s new direction is a welcome relief.
