I loved the guy when he was here but I don't see this as a good opportunity for us. He comes across as being Latrell like and we will just get dragged through the mud for no benefit.

We have no pace on the wings. There needs to be a huge recruitment drive this year for wingers with genuine pace.

We're building nicely I think Paws. Next year will allow us to target some decent strike wingers. Still may land one this year, who knows.

IMO the Roosters have a history of grabbing players who are over the hill and squeezing good value out of them, Morris for example.

I could actually see Roosters making it work.

The other day I posted in this thread regarding Frizell, and how I thought his experience and playing style would really bring our young forwards on. I believe he is a perfect target for us if there is any chance at all to slip in under the Dragons and pinch him. We are missing some leadership and experience in the pack, no doubt, but I am sure Madge will mould our guys into a very willing, enthusiastic and hungry pack. Given their average age and number of games in the NRL, the issue I can see arising will be the total amount of mistakes and poor decision making, I am hoping that's where Madge will develop them into a really good pack over time.

Don't think we will sign anyone else before the start of the season .. we might be leaving our last spot for an attempt to get Stefanio Utoikamanu across before 30 Jun 20.

Just a thought, what if Parra are still playing games with Stefano? What if they wait until we sign #30 and then release him? He has a WT contract for 2021 but what would happen for the rest of 2020? Could we sign him at least to CC for rest of season or if they force him to another club and then make us fight other club to get him for 2021 and they can play the innocent party card.

He can sit at home and collect his money if he wants to. The original poster said they may force him to go to another club - no they can't. My mate who is best mates with JAC’s dad said he wants in at the roosters

Makes sense for both parties. Roosters will need a winger and JAC will go to a premiership favourite

Hence the difference between our club and a 'destination club' like the Roosters. We will become a destination club, I have no doubt, but it will take a few years of good solid finals footy to get there. But I do believe we are on the right path.
