Darryl Halligan was no speedster. If I ranked the 3 slowest wingers I have seen in the 56 years on this little rock
1 Wayne Stewart played for the Wests Panthers in the 70s ...also played for Qld and Australia Good goal kicker ...slow as lava travelling up hill
2 Wayne Bennett ....fit as ....slightly quicker than Wayne Stewart
3 Luke Covell ......enough said
Ross Conlon as well.Darryl Halligan was no speedster.
It’s not uncommon players move in field 😂 like props who used to be back rowers. Once was a winger, ended up in back row and if I played on I definitely would be a prop now. But I get your point just like I was sharing an opinion, you were too. Fair callAh yes, the old let’s turn the centre into a back rower schtick.
Chook HeronRoss Conlon as well.
Just like the rest of us, Hal.🤣I’ve just read an article in the SMH that he’s rejected South’s, had a medical with us and is possibly being offered a train and trial deal so he can play with his brother.
So my previous comment looks wrong, and he could be playing for us in a few weeks.
What do I know, nothing it seems!
C'mon Happy. You reckon Halligan was quicker than Covell? If I ranked the 3 slowest wingers I have seen in the 56 years on this little rock

Plus the later attempt that was so close to going straight through the bread basket, but he just held onto it.I agree that his courage is undeniable. In a similar vein, I saw Skelton's high ball dropsy count vs Penrith and wondered whether he was struggling to confidently leap into the air due to his strapped hammy?
Then hopefully he has talked to him about it.I was talking to richo not benji
