Fwiw, he was named on an extended bench for the Cowboy trial, also in jersey 21, and he was a late inclusion into the starting side. There's definitely a method here. Maybe the 21 jersey is the only one that fits him. He's a big boy.
 
Rankin needs to go, I reckon Suli will get picked as a late inclusion. Media will be all over the kid who hasn't played a game of ISP and only played 2 Holden cup games which he failed to finish due to injury to get selected in first grade af the age of 18\. Club trying to keep him away to settle the nerves I reckon.

Don't mind Edwards from what I've heard he can hurt the attack with his lethal defensive hits, but JJ Felise is a beast and I'd prefer him over Edwards

Other than that, that's a solid team and I predict a good win over Souffs

Actually what is the Jersey situation with NRL clubs now days? Is it new ones every week or do the players take turns every week washing them and they also bring the oranges that week? :smiley:

I will reserve judgement on the team till the actual team is listed. Suli has to play and i think its just to take the attention of him.
 
Geez it is good to have the footy back, but I did enjoy the first test in India.
Good side, once settled.
If JT plans on playing a expansive forward game, Edwards may stay. He is a hard hitter and would hold the middle together.
In my opinion our forwards are looking the best we have had for a while. Good balance of exciting youth and a few old heads, I can not wait.

There are a few reasons actually, but why bother putting a bit of thought into it when you can just resort to the most ridiculous theory.
 
Can't believe Rankin named. Thought he might be named on the bench to give McIllwrick a breather. I actually think they may start with MCK at centre, Kev on the wing & Rankin on the bench (no Suli). Will be interested to see the final side, but the 21 seems to demonstrate a severe lack of depth at the club at the moment.
I have supported Taylor, but if he fails to judge the strengths and weaknesses of his players and sticks with incumbent players for the sake of it, I do not think he will see Easter in charge of the team.
 
Lets wait until the final 17 is announced before we start hanging the coaches.
South's have named Braidon Burns at #19 even though they expect him to start.

I agree but Rankin is JT's long lost son he will probably replace Edwards off the bench and act as the back up hooker.

This does seem likely given where they've played in the trials.
