We may actually be able to attract some talent now,wasn't there a rumour and I don't know how true but lots of players wanted to play along side Robbie but not Benji, time will tell I guess.

Before the Benji bombshell, the Boss said all our energy was being directed at extending the contracts of our best young talent and dont expect to see many signing from outside the club,but 2015 they were planning on going outside the club. With Benji now going I dont expect things to change.

Dont spend money for the sake of spending money, wait till you can get the right player to fill a weakness

The money should be thrown towards any stupid backend deals we have from previous staff. Make sure we maximise our potential cap space.

2014 should be front load and upgrades and then with what we have left purchases of players who will help us reform our culture and provide professional sportsmen experience (as opposed to boy's club experience…).

Then 2014 will be another development year where hopefully Brooks will be nurtured into firsts, and perhaps Moses at a later stage. All the while negotiating with players to sign on for 2015.

2015 - our important recruiting window. 2016 - our intended peak

2013 - 9-12th target
2014 - 7-10th target
2015 - in top 8
2016 - in top 4

What about Matt Prior he was 107 kg and 190 cm , a back rower, prop and sometime centre, has 110 games experience , played in a grand final and won. Could be a great addition to our backrow and is only 26\. Add some starch where we are probably weakest

Yeah I rate matt prior, he's a versatile quiet achiever. Very strong defensively and would be a good pick up.

Dont think there is anyone around wort buying @ the moment, Funny ow people are now saying we must keep Moltzen for experience. I thought Benjis mind might of been made up to go when he heard Molltzen was probably going to England.

Let the dust settle before you choose your path. No need to be throwing money around, before long it will be gone. Weed out what we need first in our ranks by giving anyone with talent a run in 2014\. At least try to get it right with our rebuilding period. As a club, we will now be seen as normal, this will attract players.

Yep. No need to go crazy signing someone on big dollars. Lets wait and see how the younger players go and then upgrade accordingly.

Not sure if throwing money at any one player is the answer at all. The club will move away from a player that absorbed a large portion of the salary cap, and probably didn't offer the return for the money on the field.

The club is in a transition right now- moving away from higher salary/ reducing performance older players like Marshall, Lote, Utai etc. They were good value 2-3 or more years ago, but now the performance doesn't match the financial investment.

The time is right for the club to invest in the next crop of players- Brooks, Moses, Sue etc, and surrounding them with players that help develop their skills.

Anasta was a shrewd buy as I think he'll help Sironen's development far more than Benji ever could. Wouldn't mind the club bringing in a player like Scott Bolton from the Cowboys to show the younger forwards a little bit about knowing when to put your hand up, how to be most effective. Basically, signing players that can pass on the right attitude to the younger brigade.

That said, if Brooks is going to be asked to step in next year, the Tigers would do well to bring in a couple of harder running backrowers that can help give Brooks some room to play in. Joe Picker is on the outer at Canberra & might be just the right kind of player at a good price.

Anasta will play a large role in the development of Sironen and I think that's a great thing as Anasta has a great attitude and is a hard worker.

Bolton is stuck behind the Aussie props and has out performed them for the most part thus season, especially Tamou anyway. A shrewd signing he would be to say the very least.

And a hard running back-rower is exactly what we need. BMM is inconsistent and he can't be if he is playing outside a rookie halfback. We really miss Dwyer in that aspect. Sue and Blair play much better tighter and Fulton is not quite the bash type player required.
