Haha, you're a wild boy using
Those graphs to prove your point

Oh how I love a graph or two, especially when the ones @CloudyGlock used backed up exactly what I stated, noting in the first, the dip when the trade relations agreement from Brexit came into effect at the end of 2021.

Some 5 months later and basically mirroring the extent of said graph, the OBR (equivalent of our treasury) maintained it's 4% ongoing loss directly through Brexit, relative to having remained in the EU. Using ruler or any straight edge on the screen clearly shows just that and/or economists/OECD predictions and the like

His second graph does the same, except in that it does not address the substantial government borrowing cost from the latest UK policy changes of the past few weeks. Still though confirming my statements on austerity bar covid that he quoted to the letter, yet arguing the same fact.

Pretending stuff from well more than a decade ago had such an immediate affect on an economy is laughable at best.

mate you have just proven yourself to be a complete shill for the left. you said that the UK were currently Suffering the effects of Brexit and a 4% loss of GDP. That is a lie. The graph clearly shows that after a couple of months “blip” it was business as usual. It’s clear as day. The fact that you choose to argue otherwise proves to me you have no interest in discussing things sensibly, you are just here to fight for your team. Sad really.

Mate. It is the most elementary economics and mathematics available. Double the debt, double the cost. When did that debt double?

You have proven yourself to be a sad pathetic ideologue that is incapable of a sensible discussion. pointing out reality to you is a waste of time when the truth impedes your narrative. 2+2=5 Comrade!

Mathematics are wonderful, especially with economic calculations.

Reading is good too, which I suggest that you pay more attention to.

I read you twisting like a gutted fish when faced with actual reality.

Move on, I’m done with you. Surely there is a meeting you should be in somewhere comrade?

Yeah, consoling my comrade Kwasi, after Truss and he couldn't sell their horrific policies, even to ideologues such as yourself at their annual get together.

One down, two possibly even worse ones to go.

The Donald will sort things out shortly.

Do I hear head explosions?

The Donald got micturated upon by Russian call girls and since then has been working for Putin against you to screw Australia. It trickled down all over his fake hair, and fat botoxed face before making him stink like a public toilet. If you like Donald, you like being a sucker and getting lied to regularly and screwed out of your hard earned cash.

Here’s a couple of nice photos of your hero Trump. The brothel heir, whose family got the boot from Germany for not paying taxes.

Seriously, you’d be hard pressed to find a bigger d!ckhead anywhere.

The forum is and should be a place of healthy debate. There is no need to be be so aggressive nor arrogant in your posts.
Treat everyone, even if they are not as learned as you in the given topic, as equal and respect their opinion....yes even if you dissagree, show respect and use non- insulting, provocative language.
Thankyou all.

To add to the discussion about NZ voting, I’ll just throw this in…

“The Commonwealth” shall mean the Commonwealth of Australia as established under this Act.

“The States” shall mean such of the colonies of New South Wales, New Zealand, Queensland, Tasmania, Victoria, Western Australia, and South Australia, including the northern territory of South Australia, as for the time being are parts of the Commonwealth, and such colonies or territories as may be admitted into or established by the Commonwealth as States; and each of such parts of the Commonwealth shall be called “a State”.

Nope……no effect at all. UK GDP reset very quickly and has continued steady slow growth.

Mate not everything fits neatly in your anti conservative world view. Reality always wins and bites hard.

inflation is currently at 10% in UK. Directly a result of too much money pumped into a hot economy. Interest rates have risen 2% in 9months.

As far as “Austerity” is concerned, the UK Government has slowed But not decreased spending (Covid) excluded but they had to after Labour spent like drunkard sailors for 13 years. Look at this graph. What happened between 97-2010? At the start of Tony Blair’s government debt was 40% of GDP.. By the time Labour got kicked out it was 83% of GDP. After 12years of conservative government the debt is steady at 85%..

complete rubbish. Interest rates have risen sharply to counter inflation. The high rates are now biting due to massive debt incurred by Labour.

economics and mathematics bow to no ideology. Reality bites.

Has Pom approved this?
Or should we wait?

Convenient photos from years ago, obviously you dont like Trump, each to their own...
But if you compare how the USA was performing while he was in office to the garbage RESIDENT that is in power now,all I can say is that it no longer is the powerhouse country it used to be...funny how Biden can give billions to Ukraine but he and the dumb vp Harris cant help Florida people during this disaster..

to be fair, there are also images of Mr Clinton, allegedly a frequent flyer on Epstein's flights, sadly Australia started to pay into Clinton funds - so indirectly we (at least partially) financed Clinton's trips. :(

I note that none of the even half serious posters in this thread have backed up any of those that pretend that Brexit hasn't had a huge effect on the British economy, nor argued that the policies of the past few weeks were not the cause of the recent near collapse.

Both were so historically significant, that they will be discussed reasonably extensively for decades to come, and mentioned as horrible decisions for much longer.

Hows that benefits list from the former Minister for Brexit opportunities going, and have they discovered anything better benefits wise, other than some potential additional wattage for their vacuum cleaners or fish finger value yet?
