Competition for spots is only a good thing & I'm sure it'll make Seyfarth a better player. At the end of the day he's a loyal clubman who rejected rival club offers & tooks unders to stay at the club. Players like this help the club sign the likes of Luai, Terrell & retain the Bulas & the Taylans. There should always be spots for guys like that the club.
So you reckon your weakest players will lose you a game moreso than your strongest players will win you a game ??? There’s 30 players in a squad plus 6 dev players. Once again what you’re saying has zero grounding in logic …. For example we lost many games last year with 1 player being off thier game , most infamously the Naden game , and the Mason game . Youre only as strong as your weakest link . And at no point did I comment on any teams strength of squad . I commented on your outrageous statement around our top 3 players . It was extreme hyperbole , crossed with nonsense to win an arbitrary argument on a forum .
Defence wins premierships .....and is across your entire squad .....not the strongest or weakest team membersSo you reckon your weakest players will lose you a game moreso than your strongest players will win you a game ?
It doesn’t work that way for teams such as the Broncks, Panthers, Storm, Raiders or any of the teams that made the top 8 in 2025 for that matter.
All I ever hear is excuses as to why our highest paid players cannot get us enough wins, when will the excuses stop and they actually get us more wins than losses ?
Of course that is true, but you also need to score points.Defence wins premierships .....and is across your entire squad .....not the strongest or weakest team members
We scored 28 points a few times and lost footy games .....if we can't keep sides to under 28 .....our defence is the problemOf course that is true, but you also need to score points.
No matter how good your defence is you still generally need to score a minimum of 3-4 tries to win most games,
Just booked you in for some shock therapy lol.Who gets left out - Samuela or KPP? Seyfarth obviously has one of the edge forward spots locked up, so the other two will have to fight it out for the other spot.
Just booked you in for some shock therapy lol.
I'm guessing you read my earlier debate about Seyfarth, just gave up in the end some dudes just can't be shifted by logic, they think the sun shines out, how can you change that opinion lol.At least the guy is a solid troll. The others are just plain old stupid.
KPP is a very good defender, so he helps, but we are getting plenty of fan suggestions of having Royce and Bunty both in our top 17.We scored 28 points a few times and lost footy games .....if we can't keep sides to under 28 .....our defence is the problem
Too many posters expect us to score 58 points and get into a scoring spree
The quicker we learn to defend the better

I'm not gonna argue with you about what's more important ....defence or attack . Too many better football minds than mine all believe d is more important than attackKPP is a very good defender, so he helps, but we are getting plenty of fan suggestions of having Royce and Bunty both in our top 17.
Not sure how having them both in the same team helps us defend better ?
Api struggled with plenty of missed tackles from playing far too many minutes each game in 2025, how does that improve with him being a year older in 2026 ?
To’a has never been a good defender, how does that improve in 2026 ?
Good attacking play including making line breaks and getting repeat sets helps fatigue the opposition and makes defending easier. This certainly wasn’t our strong points in 2025, it will need big improvement in 2026.
There has not been one single person on this forum asking or wanting Alex Seyfarth to be our starting 2nd rower in 2026 or beyond.Yep, it’s like a cult or they’re probably friend and family. I gave just about every one of his stats across every round, including totals and averages, as well as comparing against other second rowers. One of the moron crew said I was cherry-picking yet couldn’t tell what I left out lol
Absolutely I do . This past season is an exception to the rule , but defence 💯 wins you football matches . We beat the best team in the game 2 years in a row , where our best player on the field as Jackson Hastings and Luke brooks .in back to back years .So you reckon your weakest players will lose you a game moreso than your strongest players will win you a game ?

If that’s how your interpreting what I said then you’ve got no hope.Right. It was because of players like Seyfarth that Luai, Terrell signed on and Taylan and Bula re-signed 🤣🤣🤣
Peak Magpie delusion lol
Who are our likely passengers in our top 17 for 2026 in your opinion ?Absolutely I do . This past season is an exception to the rule , but defence 💯 wins you football matches . We beat the best team in the game 2 years in a row , where our best player on the field as Jackson Hastings and Luke brooks .in back to back years .
Why is that ? Because everyone on those days stayed committed and did their job.
The bulldogs team , 2 years ago wing lambasted as the dumbest waste of money because they went out and got Curran , Hutchinson,Mann etc. then by the end of the year everyone was calling them geniuses and how good their roster was … when it was mostly, and kind of still is outside the pen riff boys and Galvin , journeymen .why ? Bechae they all bought into the system and did their job . Then you could get your cream like Burton and Stephen Chricton to do win the games . But if your carrying a passenger , in nrl teams are too smart and attack it.
Like when we lost to the cowboys that back end of last year .lt wasn’t cause we were shit . It was because all of a sudden our edge was bench players and back rowers, so drink water went after it . We don’t get those injuries , we don’t even come close to losing that game . Your 17th and 18th men on the field are just as important as your best player. Because them doing their job , allows the best players to win the games . Otherwise it’s 40 nil at halftime . Watching this team the last few years surely is exhibit A on this . On paper we had a very serviceable teams from player 1-15. But those last 2 , whether it be carrying a feledy in the centres , or Laurie dropping a million bombs at fullback , or wingers who couldn’t make yardage , or halves who couldn’t do much anything at nrl level like will smith or wakeham ….. it’s a team sport . It’s not the nba where you can pass it to Jordan and let him cook. Stop watching highlight reels nd actually watch the games , because generally guys like Walsh or ponga or whoever will do some cool shit for approx. 3-4 minutes of an 80 min match . those other 77 odd minutes . That’s everyone else in the team.
The only time I think he's a problem is when he contributes to a loss mate, my argument is there is a few in front of him at the moment that will be pushing for selection and Benji should be picking the most worthy over the summer. There has not been one single person on this forum asking or wanting Alex Seyfarth to be our starting 2nd rower in 2026 or beyond.
It’s blatantly obvious that Alex Seyfarth is much more comfortable and prefers playing in the middle, BUT was forced to play on an edge for the majority of 2025 as we had nobody else.
We tried replacing him with a young up and comer in Tony Sukkar late in the season, were his stats any better ?
It’s been a very rare occurrence that anyone playing right edge for Wests Tigers over the past couple of seasons has stood out and/or provided decent stats.
KPP will fill the void on the right edge in 2026, he nearly always provides good stats, but will that alone be enough to get us more wins than 2025 ?
Anyone wanting to be critical and basing it on stats, should be basing the stats on time playing in the middle and compare those stats to other fringe bench players playing limited minutes across the NRL.
It’s funny how a player such as Seyfarth often gets praise from ex players commentating on games, yet our own expert fans want to label him as one of our major problems ???
