I thought our bench was perfect today, even if some input could have been better.

I think if you look at that game objectively we did plenty wrong. Musgrove and some of our other forwards need better back up. Twal was very good but Garner, Madden and Mikaele don’t add enough.

Mikaele looked like making an error every play the ball he is so clumsy no point trying to play quickly if you're going to make errors.

I think that generally we are I agreement, but not much else to choose from anyway. Would have put Madden at dummy half though, even though Brooks was excellent there as well today, even for the Maumalo try whilst Simpkin was still on the field.

1. Hastings - brilliant, proved he can lead our team

2. Twal - ran harder and made more metres and offloads today than he has in the last 3 years

3. Simpkin - His pass was quick and crisp and pushed the ruck effortlessly til he went down.

4. Brooks - looked good coming off Jackson, excellent cut out pass for our second try, but we need more side finders rather than deep throat kicks from Luke.
