What has he played 27 NRL games? - not enough in my opinion to be to definite about how good he is.

If the 600k is correct then we have paid massive overs. Don't think that would be correct though.

350-400k would be about right imo. - although I wouldn't make an offer myself.

Indeed, I don't recall hearing any of the media criticise Newcastle for paying 'overs' when they signed Ponga! More than $600K a season I believe and the guy has only played 2 NRL matches!!

I really don't understand why they hate us so much, I find it very disturbing :frowning:

People keep saying that, but I don't get it. What does that mean exactly? Why aren't Newcastle considered easy targets, being wooden spooners last year and possibly this year also? Why aren't the Bulldogs considered easy targets with all their current woes? Or the Warriors, who are forever under-performing year after year?

It's a mystery to me also, but you only have to look at our channel 9 schedule to know we are much more popular than some.

There was a bit of a frenzy yesterday with Knight leaving the Roosters Oldfield the Panthers going to the Raiders ..Clydesdale from the Raiders to the Sharks but that will be the end of it for this year..
