Harry Triguboff Wests Tigers Savior?

The Tigers will always be my team but I no longer worry about the never ending dramas.
Plain & simple the club is unprofessional & an embarrassment to the NRL.

The "Tigers" have been in the finals 3 times in last 25 years & won 1 competition in the last 46 years.
Maybe there is a better way of running a club :brick: .

Harry Triguboff please buy the Club now. It's Time.
 
If Harry really gave two hoots about his 'beloved tigers' he would've stepped in years ago. He's just a club figurehead and not even that really.

The club has only existed for 15 years:crazy
 
Who says that Harry T will make this club competitive. I can't see that happening and if he wanted to help he should chuck in a bunch of 3rd party deals.

I think Harry T would run any business far far better than our current board.

From what I have been told he wants to own the whole club and appoint the board, CEO and coaching staff, fair enough if you are putting in all the money.

Wests Ashfield do not want to sell their half and that is their decision (don't really know why as 15 out of 16 NRL clubs run at a loss every year, I am sure they have great reasons why the dont want to sell).

I think it is highly unlikely that Harry T with no control in the club is going to arrange a lot of Third Party deals. I can't see him putting money in with no say on the running of the club no smart businessman does that. I can understand why Harry T is not arranging a lot of Third Party Deals at the moment, the current board couldn't run a chook raffle.

If he was to buy the club I am sure he has the financial clout to make the Third Party money at clubs like the Broncos, Souths and Roosters look like loose change.

I have said many times the joke is how do you become a millionaire? You are a billionaire that buys a football team.
 
If Harry really wanted to buy Wests Ashfield 50% share of the West Tigers, I'm sure that he could make them an offer that they could not refuse.

Correct, Wests Tigers have won 1 competition & made the finals 3 times in 16 seasons.
For the record: going back from their last season as stand alone clubs (1999),
Balmain **Tigers** last premiership win was in 1969, Western Suburbs **Magpies** 1952.
The performance record of all these clubs is hopeless.

I don't think Harry wants to own a leagues club. Wests Ashfields is a very well run registered club.

I think Harry would like to buy their 50% of the NRL team. Maybe he will need to make them an offer they can't refuse.
 
These threads about Harry buying the club are the most annoying threads on these forums. I will never open another thread that has Harry Triguboff's name in the title again.

I cringe anytime i read the terms ''Harry Triguboff'', ''Harry T'' and ''Uncle Harry''. Its enough to do your head in. The man is a myth, it will never happen.

Millionaire or not, i have no idea why anyone would want an 82 yr old running their club.

I personally think he will never own the club, he probably doesn't want to anymore.

He did put in a lot of sponsorship money over the years to both Balmain and Wests Tigers, something that should not be treated so lightly as their were times I think he was the only person willing to put sponsorship money in.

I think a lot of people like the thought of us being a successful run club at look at how well the privately run Souths is going after being a basket case 10 years ago. I think people believe if Harry T owned the club we would have the resources to match any other NRL club. Given his track record in running a successful company that he built it is not an unfair point. In reality it is just very unlikely to happen and will remain an unfulfilled dream.
 
If I had a billion dollars would you want me to run the club? I'd be really good at it, after all I have watched the game for 30 years and really love the Tigers. That's all you need isn't it…

The question i have is, is along as the leagues club tops up the football club who gives a toss? The leagues clubs were only ever set for that purpose, thats why many clubs run at a loss, they were never meant to make money. Some clubs are moving away from that model but if it works for you why would you?

The best thing that could happen imo is for Balmain to fold and Wests to take over the club. I grew up following Balmain but you have to move with the times. Wests have the means to fund this club long term, its just red tape that stops it from happening.
 
^ Relocate the Wests Tigers and allow Balmain and Western Suburbs to fight it out in park footy where both clubs belong.
 
He's not saving anything. He had plenty of chances and never took them. He's in his 80's as well so he'll have little time at the helm before he'll have to announce a successor or worse yet kick off unexpectedly.
