Latrell Mitchell Contract Discussion

Tigers rang Lattrells manager and asked when will he decide, they said should know before Christmas! He's due back to training in a couple of weeks but Nick doesn't want him around. Circus Maximus.

With no quality players available and the Storm squashing any thought of JAC going anywhere it sort of leaves us open to hanging. They know we have the money and they know the market for that amount is just not around.

I can’t believe how poorly he has been managed throughout this process. I feel sorry for the guy.

Likewise. He has some fools and scavengers around him trying to milk as much $$ as possible. One decent manager and this would never have gone this far.

LATRELL UPDATE

So the Wests Tigers have now pulled there offer for Latrell Mitchell, as soon as I heard I contacted my source straight away

Latrell and the Tigers looked set, the papers were ready, Roosters release papers were ready, Tigers were ready but Latrell wasn’t ready to commit as of yet

The reason why I said from day 1 that it’s a 99% chance is because no other team can come into the picture for 2020

However, this does not disqualify Mitchell coming to the Wests Tigers as it’s still a possibility

The offer has been pulled, but the Tigers still remain keen to bring him over but they aren’t willing to wait around any longer as they know Latrell has no other legitimate offers.....

Expect Latrell’s management to contact the Wests Tigers and the chance for both parties to negotiate freshly

Main reason for the withdrawn offer was to let Mitchell and his camp know they won’t be pushed around but this isn’t necessarily the end!

Oh yay..a few more weeks of speculation.

Imagine this...a world where information wasnt leaked to the media and a signing just came out of the blue OFFICAL by the club.....

Trent Merrin to the Dragons is official. Now we just wait for them to announce Leilua’s release.

Official - check the thread and web site.

This only really happens to juniors.. I think Tigers try their best to negotiate privately

After all this hogwash over negotiations if Mitchell does end up signing with us in the end would anyone really be confident of his commitment to our team/club? I know I wouldn't, I think if he played reasonably well for a season and got lured by another club he'd be gone at first chance.

Fans reactions to him signing now I think would be tempered somewhat after what has taken place. I think it will be like 'oh ok Mitchell has signed', whereas if he signed earlier without all this baulking and stalling it would've been 'OMG 'we've actually signed Mitchell!! Yay!! 😂

Who knows. It could actually be a humbling experience for him.

And we've been much better at it too recently. I remember the days when you'd hear everything coming out of the club.. Was embarrassing. This one has forced our hand because of the situation and high profile, but I think has been handled really well by the club.

I don't know if you heard the interview on MMM Thursday night between Geyer and our new chairman....he said in a way the offer has been taken off the table but it's still there but in the draw....management group just thought him and his manager were dicking us around....don't think we have heard the last of it by a long way.....Maguire still wants him

I wouldn't, I'd always be thinking he's only here because he had no other real option
