Madge Maguire - Mega Thread

Might be they're waiting on the Riff's season to end-possibly this weekend-before announcing Ciraldo's got the job. If they'd decided Madge was to stay, they'd have more than likely said so by now.

Ciraldo seems to see us the same way Bellamy saw us in 2002.

Or how Voldemort saw us an NRL gig..as a stepping stone back to the Pamfers in due corse..

With all his mates at Penrith he gets along so well with..

When Ivan finally gets sacked they poach back to Panthers Ivan 2

The bad thing is everything they are saying in this case is true. Fans are being enlightened on what some of us have known for years. The coach debate which for the footy side is key is actually not important. Ownership and leadership need to change. Not sure how but it has to. Souths are a good example.

They should have gone after Shane Richardson a few years ago.

‘Need a complete reboot’: ‘Coach-killing’ Tigers cop all-time whack over Maguire ‘shambles’

Again with Fox making an article out of the TV opinions of their own drama-bait pundits. It's ridiculous and best ignored - you go on telly and rant about something, then your company news outlets summarise your rants into an article for extra press, then you talk about the article the following day on your next show.

The way they carried on on 360 was like they felt jilted that there wasn't a decision. Like a promise to them was broken.

Same way chammas reacted on 100% footy

It is disgusting how much power the media and player managers have in this game.

Power over the weak. I'm more disgusted about our club.

Oh, man. Don't get me wrong, the way the club has handled this is absolutely shameful. Seriously, if Ciraldo had doubts before....look at the complete disrespect that the club is showing its current head coach

Thanks for everything Madge ...I don't agree with you going ...but you lost too many games and the players ......

Show them up at your next club ......

He'd be smart not to come here.

Not many (myself included at times) can't stand Gould. But worth a listen re tigers/media imo https://twitter.com/NRLonNine/status/1439924803243286531?s=19

Well a lot of fans buy into it. I refuse to watch NRL 360, never have, for the reason that I don't want to hear the hysteria generated for clickbait reasons by fairly uninformed and inconsequential pundits. Kent, Pooper and Rothfield are nobodies - I don't want their opinions on footy or any other topic.

Making the same mistake twice? Not here surely!

Do you think that this is all media attempting to fast track outcomes for their own attention seeking spin that the Tigers should come out strongly to rebuff and condemn this behavior or just remain quiet and get on with the review in their own time

Panthers are so boring hate for Ciraldo to bring cleary ball over here.

Really keen for some 2005 ball.

Only two coaches that can deliver that. One has retired from coaching. The other one is 2000 km away.

No they are being fed by people in the Tigers covering their tracks in the organisation. Like here it’s turned into a sack Madge discussion. Exactly what it’s designed to do. Distract from the ineptitude of people actually running the club.
People are diminishing the brand of the Tigers to cover their back sides and blaming the coach.

It’s not being spun it’s being fed. People can work out who’s playing the games it’s not Madge to a fault he’s straight down the line with most things.

If they are going to sack him do it already the brand damage of letting the media run with this is worse. They need to be sacked immediately.

Buzz was literally upset that he wasted a day on an article that he can’t publish because the premise of article hadn’t come to a head as expected.

The self interest in our club is astonishing. Blame the bloke whose been here 3 years when we were a massive rabble when he arrived. Nothing to see here!! Did Madge hire Cleary? Fail to retain Cleary? Fail to retain multiple dally m medal winners? Sign Packer, Ballin, Anasta, Reynolds, Mbye? No. The lunatics are free in the asylum.
