Pascoe sanctioned by the NRL

"Word is Pascoe is gone no idea on penalties. Was told “you’re not getting your CEO back” yesterday."

If thats the case, the NRL / Greenberg are hell bent on making Pascoe pay dearly. As said many times before, hopefully we dont loose him to a rival sport.

Not sure on cap penalties but if Dean Ritchie is correct (not usually) then pascoe is cooked. The public will find out tomorrow.

And as a few of us have said its an absolute disgrace they way he is being punished.

Ill remain optimistic until i hear otherwise but its hard to ignore your gut when your gut is telling you they are fixing him up.

NRL has more leaks than a sieve, today's news leaked yesterday so wouldn't be surprised if the leaks regarding Pascoe gone are true

Tomorrow midday verdict for both sharts and tigers will be announced - Rothfield

Agree. What pascoe was supposed to have done vs what others have done is worlds apart.

I understand there is a lot of bad news for a few clubs coming tomorrow. As I see it we should be at the lighter end of the scale.

Only Greenberg seeing Pascoe as a threat keeps us at risk of being at the wrong end of the scale.

Time will tell

It does make you wonder what the motivation is to rub Pascoe out … you have an organisation the NRL that are imploding and losing its popularity with the general public with appalling leadership .. then you have a CEO in Pascoe that has done everything he can to turn around a club financially which the NRL should be grateful for and IMO the most important aspect he is community based and has driven an agenda at or club to encourage the community at the grass roots level to be apart of the club .... the varied organisations that have joined from disability to depression the list is impressive .
Yet the governing body are doing everything in its power to destroy his reputation, if this does go badly for or CEO one hopes that all related material will be made public so us members and supporters of our club can actually see finally why a man with the leadership qualities of Justin Pascoe has been put to the sword ! IMO this will be a bad day for our game in general as leaders of this type with the passion for the game are few and far between these days ! So what is motivating the NRL!

Lets see what they do. I have plenty to say if they rub him out but a bit of positivety on this matter wont hurt.

Or maybe we did do the wrong thing….but I don't care ...as all Clubs do and it's not fair...see you in Court..

Cronulla is bracing for a salary cap deduction of about $600,000 for this season and next for undisclosed player payments as the NRL prepares to close the book on a number of outstanding integrity issues on Friday.

The focus will remain on Rugby League Central for a second consecutive day as the governing body announces a host of sanctions that will affect multiple players, clubs and officials. The most pressing matter is the finalisation of a salary cap investigation into the Sharks that was sparked when the club self-reported an anomaly involving their former player Chris Heighington.

The club came forward after a promised $50,000 payment to Heighington was unearthed by former NRL salary cap auditor Jamie L’Oste-Brown shortly after he joined the club. That sparked a wider probe that subsequently [cost Cronulla its premiership-winning coach](https://www.smh.com.au/sport/nrl/flanagan-resigns-as-cronulla-head-coach-20190121-p50smh.html), Shane Flanagan, after it emerged he contravened the rules of his suspension by communicating with staffers.

The investigation found other salary cap breaches, but the 2016 premiership win is not under threat. The NRL has taken into account the fact Cronulla self-reported, with the expected cap deduction to be north of half a million dollars from their cap. It’s possible the sum could be deducted over two years, raising hopes they may not have to shed a single player ahead of the upcoming season. The penalty will allay concerns they will have to lose Shaun Johnson, the Kiwis halfback they recruited from the Warriors over the summer.

However, Flanagan may not get another chance to coach in the NRL again if his deregistration remains open ended.

Canterbury recruit Dylan Napa is facing a large fine, in the vicinity of $50,000, after [the dissemination of lewd videos](https://www.smh.com.au/sport/nrl/napa-no-idea-how-sex-videos-released-20190206-p50w20.html) from some years ago. The former Rooster is expected to be free to play his first game for the Bulldogs in the opening round.

**Wests Tigers CEO Justin Pascoe will learn his return date after he was deregistered for failing to disclose a lucrative ambassadorial role for hooker Robbie Farah when he retires. The Tigers were left reeling when the [NRL imposed a provisional $750,000 fin](https://www.smh.com.au/sport/nrl/furious-wests-tigers-to-challenge-pascoe-ban-salary-cap-fines-20181219-p50naj.html)e – as well as deducting $639,000 out of their salary cap – because they had not declared the arrangement when Farah left the club in 2016\. The final determination will include a date when Pascoe can reapply for registration.**

Scott Bolton can almost halve a ban of about 10 games if he tours all the NRL clubs and speaks about an incident in which he assaulted a woman at a bar last year.

The NRL may also make a call on the immediate future of Dylan Walker, who has pleaded not guilty to domestic violence charges.

When you look at the penalties in the same story piece, our fine seems so ridiculous when you look at how snakey the sharks do their business. Who cares if they self reported it, that shouldnt even come into the equation. Why dont the Sharks cop a fine as well as a cap deduction? The Sharks terrible history of cheating and rorting the system needs to be taken more into account.

I guess this is what Greenberg means by fairness not consistency.

When you compare the offences the sentencing is ludicrous.

Even I am starting to come around to that way of thinking, I will see what happens today but this doesn't look right.
