Robbie Farah..Discussion Thread.....

If we sack Taylor after another poor season at the end of next year then that will be 3 coaches in 5 years (given Taylor will have had 2 years and Potter had 2 years). If the Tigers cannot sign a high profile coach then surely there is another Maguire or Robinson out there waiting for an opportunity. The Tigers need to get the front office in order which with the new CEO etc we may now achieve and then with some stability we may attract the right coach.

You just can't sack coach after coach and expect the elite on will coming knocking. Sooner or later coaches have to be given leeway to fail, and so far JT has and he has failed. Hypothetically, sacking him next season. Which many have called for would give us our 3rd coach in 3 yrs. And considering there's no one available it would leave us with another noob. And if he fails, what then? Do we go for 4 in 4 yrs? I don't think any elite coach would come here no matter what you paid him.

We have sacked one coach in 12 years and not renewed the contract of another. Looking at the results they achieved one - 49% win loss after nine years, and the other less than 40% if we are searching for the winning culture that many keep talking about - then the coach needs to be accountable. Taylor has had a terrible first year and has sacked our captain he needs to show some level of improvement, quickly. Newcastle didnt even give Stone a full year based on his results Three coaches in three years Bennett Stone and Brown add Budereus if you want to and make it four. The fact is if coaches do not get results they are on shaky ground,

We have some clutches here telltails

And I think the fact JT should be on shaky ground is warranted. No coach whose had the first yr he had should never feel safe. It's good that the board will hold the coaches feet to the fire. As supporters we aren't use to that given how many yrs Sheens was allowed to carry no accountability. There needs to be middle ground though, not going from one extreme to another.

Wests Tigers skipper Robbie Farah looks set to remain at Concord next NRL season with new CEO Justin Pascoe saying the club intends to honour his contract.

In just his fourth day on the job, Pascoe has moved to put his stamp on the side and left the door open for the NSW hooker to see out the remaining two years of his deal and stay a one-club player.

"The club has maintained that it intends to honour its contractual commitments to Robbie," Pascoe told AAP.

Took this off Twitter.

Couldn't be arsed copying the whole article.

The CEO has had his say, and now it's up to Robbie and JT to be big boys and make this work next yr in the best interests of the club.

If they don't, then one or both will not be at the club in 2017.

Will Taylor and Farah both stay ? Doubt it after what has been said

Not sure the article's conclusion is necessarily correct. He's saying we'll pay his contract, not that he's definitely staying.

Think the club just needed to put something out there to hose down the situation.

Saying something without really saying anything.

There isn't really anything that can change the situation from the club's view unless Farah jags a deal elsewhere.

Not having a go at you but i think it good to honor his contract especially for future signings. Look at Hoppa jnr taking the Eels to court .
