So who's still confident about 2011???

after that Souths game I called it we are no chance this year, and will miss the 8 we have 9th written all over us

We have been beaten by the roosters souths bullodgs twice and the titans

thats more of a joke in itself

How was that nude run after your last prediction

the problem isn't that we can't make it, or have important players injured, the problem is the attitude, the players not being professional and letting the player movement get to them.

there is no doubt they're talented enough, but heart is just not there this year.

we have a 9th to 12th finish written all over us.

that sums it up very well.

I still think the team can finish as high as 5th,
its up to them whether they want to.
I do not want to admit this but at the moment it looks like,
wests-tigers in 2011
no claw, no roar.

we are in the middle of a rut. this could take time. i dont think we'll win a comp again with sheens and humpty at the helm. Oh how I love 2005\. Thanks for the memories.

Weve already won one with sheens and sheens has many gfs in his career.Humpty hmmmm.

i said - "again with sheens". please read the post. sheens has only won one grand final with neville nobodys that was us in 2005, those other grand finals he won were teams full of internationals. sheens is not a mentor at all - like i said magpaie mania remember this post that we wont win another one under sheens . What has humpty done for us?

remember we werent going too well in the first half of 2005 or 2010 either. when we get lawrence, lote, benji back our attack will be better. our defense against the dogs and storm wasnt too bad. we only let in 3 tries per game against teams that will make the top 8 imo. its what we are doing with the ball which is hurting us

I think we are still a good shot at making the eight and with the potential that the team has their is no reason that we can't string the 4 games together we would need to take out the big one.

In saying that their is no way I would put a bet on us

im not talking about 2011 im talking about the future. zip under sheens. the feeling aint there. he aint the worst but he aint the best either. prince and marshall is the same as stuart and daley- - i doubt we'll see that dynasty again. we need new blood at the top not with the players. the grand final was ours last year with basically the same team. he is the father figure.

Very much agree with this. The bye has came at the right time. We look like getting a few blokes back from injury and maybe a win or two with them back will get everyone's head right.

i think you gota look at whats above you guys and it aint much to be honest. from 3rd place down the comp is very weak. the tigers are losing games cause of injuries and the ability of those filling those injured positions. dragons are in the same place atm but we been lucky early on in the season to get the wins at full strength.
i think if you can beat the teams below you whilst getting your players back and find yourselves in 7th/8th and maybe 6th at full strength anything can happen from there.
but you cant lose to any team below you from now into the semi's.

I think this season has a real historic 'in the face of adversity' type of feel to it. We have been waiting all year for this team to produce what we and everybody knows they can. The key players will return from injury and we will not look back. Momentum into the finals is what it is all about, not where you finish in the top 8\. Let's all get behind the boys and ride the bullet train into the finals. Yee ha, giddy up. I'm not giving up and I know if your a true Tigers fan either will any of you.

Was hopeful at the start of the year then after about 8 rounds we just looked the same as every year, still the same dumb plays and dumb mistakes nothing has changed, now i think we have no chance in hell but the good thing is it looks like the big clean out is finally happening. One thing i didn't expect was to be thinking about next season so soon.

I know we say this almost every week, but the next game is critical. We must put Parra away after the bye. The return of Rowdy is just so important to the team. We miss him enormously.

I'm confident every year until it's mathematically impossible, and then I pray for a miracle…

Im still reasonably confident we can make the top 8 and if we have close to our best top 17 for the finals i reckon we could give the comp a fair shake.
The key component is we cannot afford any more injuries.
Once Lawrence and Lote got hurt i believed that a realistic goal was to be around a 50/50 win loss ratio by the time they got back, so far we have almost managed to achieve this.
With these guys hopefully coming back from injury along with a few others after the bye i truly believe that the team can make a strong run home.
All year we have had players coming and going and changing positions due to injuries which has made it extremely difficult for our team to build up any type of cohesion and consistency. IF we can maintain close to our top 17 for the remainder of the season then our form and season will head in the right direction.
Obviously things are not all rosy within the team at the moment due to the movement of players for next season and what not but i believe this is something that the players can overcome and will not derail our year.
I guess some people will think im dreaming that things will turn around but at full strength our roster is good enough to make the 8 comfortably plus other than the top 4 sides this is not an overly tough competition.
Finally the wildcard in all of this is Benji, if he fires over July and August then we are certain to make the 8.

I think the Tigers are just extending their usual approach to a game into the season, we play best when we are behind at half time, with 20 minutes to go it's anybody's game. You need a strong heart to be a Tigers fan.

We will come good late in the season, just make the eight, and explode into the finals on our way to the GF. Until its no longer possible thats what I'm going to believe.
