Ava - Sharks -[Official]...

For the record, Ava is asking for around 400k-450k per season. Based on that, I don't think anyone should be disappointed he is off.

Jeez, anyone would think we are minor premiers with the way clubs are poaching our players..

Aren't we apparently throwing similar money at Packer?
Has their been any consideration of signing Kasiano instead on 500kand offering up the Starting 20 and Last 20 minutes of the match?

They sure have. I just never get why?

Ok I get that players want to play with players they knew. Beau Ryan wanted to play with Chris H…. But I never understood why as they were not really connected on the field in any way. I get it if you know Bryce Gibbs and Fifita why you would at least want to work with some familiar people. But no idea why the Sharks were able to hunt us from John Morris onwards.

Sadly we never really seemed to get the same with many clubs. I know we poached 1 or 2 from Melbourne, then Souths, but never raided like the Sharks did.

I much prefer Ava on that than Woods on 700k. I like Ava. He is a quality player. It does sound high though but I suppose recruiting players tends to be higher than retaining them even going to the premiers.
 
I bet Ava is currently on 250-300k… he can go for what he is asking....let me guess his Manager is I$$ac Mo$e$

Thank god we didn't try compete. Not worth 450k.
 
I like Ava but for the reported money I am happy for him to hand back his bus pass at the end of 2017.

NRL have very short careers and a small window of opportunity to earn some decent money.

Can't blame any player to go elsewhere for more money.

We are definitely the breeding ground for the Sharks.

I'm with you. I think Kasiano would be great as long as you have the right prop to pair him with in the rotation. With props mostly playing about half a game, I'm happy to have him starting rather than off the bench.

Would love to know Ivan's opinion of our young props. If he rates them, there's no way you're worried about Ava.

Well he already manages Tim Mannah. There's probably already a dozen other players at those club's he manages too.
