Brisbane Meet & greet.

It's a mindset.
You can find a positive in most things.
Like James T sitting beside an very old tiger supporter last night chatting about the old days.
Or watching Naden showing off his little baby to the supporters.
I love the tigers.... it's a mindset, attitude.
I just wish they were more fortunate on the footy field. Sounds like it was a pretty relaxed affair.

I must admit, Brandon "Tummy" Tumeth looks like a kid.
Very shy lad but nice to chat to.
He's got some developing physically to do for an NRL forward.

Cobar, did you get a chance to chat with Asu Kepaoa? I like his story on nrl.com, the way he talks about the women in his life who have supported and encouraged him. I expect he will have a big game in this “women’s round.”
I don’t gamble but in a two horse race at $6.50, seriously thinking about it. (Responsibly that is 😜)

The only photo I've been able to upload is one of Asu, Starford and Fa'amanu. Before the ohoto I said,
"how are you lads"
Browny said, "good mate, except for him (pointing to Asu) he lost us the game"
Starford friendly hugs.
Asu put Browny in a headlock and I said,
"Fight fight fight"
Everyone was laughing.
I said to Asu later that he had done nothing wrong and everyone on the forum was behind him and he said thanks bro I appreciate it.
By the way I asked about 4 people about the forum and none of them heard of it 🤣

I rocked up and when they asked for 70 bucks I pulled out my pocket sand and hurled it into the young girls face
You had to buy tickets beforehand, what are you on about.
Surely you jest about throwing at girls face 🤔

Yeah well I thank you for going and posting. Well done Cobar.
Thanks BF.
My take on it is the more you can get out and go to things like this the more connected you become to the team.
I've been to a few training/BBQ days and they made you feel your part of the team like back in the day when we did play.
I get it that some people can't go because of their circumstances so having some feedback like this may cheer people up.
It is sad that some find it as another way to have a [This word has been automatically removed]. Oh well, horses for courses as they say....bring on tonight, I be there.

Exactly, due to circumstances beyond my control I cannot get out and about to games and fan days. So I really appreciate and enjoy the tid bits guys post. And yeah maybe it sounds expensive but you sound like you had a great time and isn’t that why we work hard, so we can have good times.
Thanks again. I hope we put on a show tonight.

Sorry for the double up as I posted this already in the wrong topic.
The night was worth every cent. I spoke personally to every player except those who didn't make the trip.
It was more like a sportsman's like function...food, drinks, a couple of guest speakers, players signing stuff and raffles for signed jersey and corporate seats to the Broncos game.
I asked Kimmorley what's going to happen with him next year and he said he will be in charge of developing the step up.
I figure that means picking the eyes out of juniors and getting them ready for NRL.... development in other words. Nothing new but at least it's confirmed.
The best thing is Kelma told me he has not signed with Manly who are putting on the squeeze. He said he's waiting to see what WT come up with.... interesting. I thought he had signed.
He said he wants to stay 😁🤔 I told him I'd throw in 10 bucks and begged him to stay..we had a laugh.
The coach told me in the morning there is no training, just a walk with shoes on...no earthing 😁
Spoke a lot to Daine Laurie and chatted about his and my indigenous rellies, it was worth coming here just for this.
Whilst talking to a group they said Noffa is definately coming back for preseason training.
Junior T's birthday and on stage with all the boys he blew the cake candles out.
James T said he really wants to be apart of the team next year because he loves the boys and he sees them building something special.
Daine was cheaky as, when Joffa was asking the fans for any more questions, Daine said "I have one, do you have any of that ringworm cream left" crowd laughed.
Joffa when interviewed about the heartbreaking loss to the Cowboys said the boys drowned their sorrows at the mad cow nightclub.
I'll post up a couple of pics tomorrow and any more gos that crops up.

P.S. One of the most athletic dude surprisingly was Starford To'a.
Thanks for that Cobar - sounds like a great night - glad you enjoyed it.
