The thing that amuses me about the DT/Fox position on this is that their "journalists" can take directly contradictory positions on this but it always critical of the club.

On Monday on NRL 360 Hooper and Kent blasted the club for not taking a tougher stand against Packer and JRey for their walkout on the weekend, while on Tuesday Creepy Crawley blasted the club for its unfair treatment of Packer and JRey.

It is one of those games that the club cannot win. They are damned either way.

If I were the club I wouldn't dignify Crawley's diatribe with response.

I’m yet to be convinced with Souths signing Latrell. Latrell is a great player and we know he is an exceptional centre. But an $800k centre when a rookie fullback could send him back there?
All hypotheticals but I’d rather our potential 450k Centre/fullback and 550k winger/fullback combo as far as responsible recruiting is concerned.

This was my first thought as well. I didn't mention it though because I expected an absolute uproar to be the result. It seems you can't suggest anything negative about Marshall on here without a barrage of abuse. Apparently you can say anything you like about Packer, BJ, Mbye and Reynolds though.

According to them though, that's what led them to walking out. Which is even more absurd - shouldn't you blast players, especially senior players, for walking out because things are tough for them? Guess not when players like Matterson and Moses are held in such high regard.

Tallis killed off Mick Potter. Several Journalists lay into us and try to derail our season when were in the top 8. Time we take an us vs them attitude.

Harry Grant will be hard to replace. Benji Marshall will be impossible to replace. Probably need another 4/5 genuine NRL quality forwards. They have great attitude though. You don’t play with such courage if there are internal problems. There is definite promise there.

Yeah, but again, another one kissing Marshall’s backside. How is he going to be impossible to replace?

I even remember saying at the time that the beauty of signing AD was that we could move him to 6 if we wanted to go after a gun fullback. The article itself is disgusting. He’s actually trying to sabotage our recruitment. The sickening part is he does it under the guise of the old “speaking for the supporters” chestnut. He can’t be that tone deaf that he wouldn’t know supporters wouldn’t want to hang him on a tree by trying to sabotage us.
