Curtis Sironen released [Official p.40]

I personally think Sironen has the potential to be a great player. The problem is he's coached by an imbecile and is in a team with no talent. He looked pretty good to me in City vs Country game.

Curtis is listed on the Tigers website with an ankle injury. Due to return rd 12\. Sue listed with indefinite rib injury

Paws, with the exception of Sheens, what coach has ever gotten anything out of any team we've had? Sure Taylor might stink, but you're living in a fool's paradise if you think getting rid of JT will rocket us to the moon. Our culture is rotten to the core, not helped by having little financial stability. JT is just one of a dozen reasons why we're sitting where we are sitting on the table.

I note what you say and understand financial stability impacts on performance. Our next coach must be a great communicator to articulate his game plan and also to motivate players. **I feel we have the basis for a very good team but need a clever coach in charge.** Love him or hate him Sheens was a very clever man and I fondly recall his "work in progress comment". Some tweaking and a few smart acquisitions will see us back as a force but Taylor has to go immediately.

I totally agree here.
A lot is said about the unrealised potential in our side.
Good coaches seem to turn potential into talent.
Doesn't happen for us on a consistent level.

Completely agree. The coach doesn't appear to have the ability to be able to get the most out of our squad.

Well I'm finally convinced….thanks steve....the Coach is no good...a nice connivence for the Playing Group...I can see them now..We have the talent...We have the skill....We have the passion to die for the Wests Tigers jersey.....We have the potential to win the Comp...BUT...the Coach is no good...the theme see 2012/3/4/5/6/7/8/9/20/21/22

And before everyone screams Taylor apologist...FWIW he won't see out his contract nor should he based on results..easier to punt 1 guy than 15-20...

The club has no one to blame but themself. Who in there right mind would appoint an junior coach with limited experience to coach such a junior and inexperienced squad? Blind freddy could see such a junior squad needed to be moulded and allowed to mature into first grade players. I could of told you then a coach like Taylor and with his minimal experience was going to fail. The results so far show this.

The club had a choice and a chance to bring in a seasoned and experienced first grade coach like a steve Folks or someone in a similar mould. A coach like Folks brings so many things to the table. They are respect, authority, proven track record, experience and most importantly they attract quality players who want to play for them. You could bet your bottom dollar an experienced coach by now would have been achieving far better results and most importantly getting consistent first grade quality footbal wek in week out from the playing squad.

I have no doubt Taylor is no idiot but he was the wrong man for the job. He is more suited to an assistant coaching role. If the club is dead set on turning this club around it starts with employing an experienced coach followed by a clean out of the rubbish and players with poor attitudes and commitment.

Scarecrow should be sacked just before kick off this weekend .

Then it's a free BBQ and Kegs at my joint !

That would be awesome.

Be advised to bring your get out of jail free card Steve , you may need it

Thanks for the advice. If it was a Taylor supporters club it'd probably be a mental asylum. I think I'd prefer the jail.

Not death riding at all…death riding is hoping the Club fails/losses so the Coach is sacked...I hope we go undefeated for the rest of the season..

I'm not sure if this is the answer either. It's not a simple decision. You might get an inexperienced coach who just matches the team better.

When we had made the decision Steve Folkes wife had passed away within the last 18 months of the decision being made

The person who might suit us best might be 3 times what we can afford to spend

Whilst I am right up the pointy end of sack the coach group, he should be followed out the door by all his assistant coaches, and a host of under achieving players.
Then we can start fixing this mess, but Taylor needs to go now, then we can judge the players on the second half of the year with a new coach to see who follows him out the door.

I think we should keep Taylor, but I'd be willing to let him go for free beer.
