You would bring a bit of x-factor to the teamTrue.. its all they know.. that's why I dont pay...
Ok mate ! That’s revisionist history , at best . It was pretty well known he has been going through it . But if you want to question it just to prove your point / do the necessary mental gymnastics to justify your position . Go for it .Funny these ‘issues’ have only ever been assumed here because of the way he’s carried himself….
He certainly made no mention of them on his reason for leaving.
Sometimes Stupid people do and say stupid things
- doesn’t always need to be a reason…
He is no longer our problem - and refused help when it was offered! What are you talking about mate ? From what I can tell , he’s had/has real mental health issues , and the shift across the ditch has not helped things . If he’s back here , it means his career is over , or he’s been given time away to sort his shit out .
Sure he said some stupid shit , but if the club is fair dinkum about looking after thier players , both current and historical , despite his shenanigans, this is when you need to turn up and help the guy.
They had to get him away from the playing group because of his toxicity . But that doesn’t mean you have to give up on the guy . Even if he’s been acting the fool lately .
Blinkered idiot he is!He was definitely at the game, he walked straight into me.
Stop making up shit!Ok mate ! That’s revisionist history , at best . It was pretty well known he has been going through it . But if you want to question it just to prove your point / do the necessary mental gymnastics to justify your position . Go for it .
I wish I lived the lives some of you live . It must be glorious in your ivory tower looking down at the plebs …..
Yep - his mental problems have only ever been very low IQ and huge ego!!Funny these ‘issues’ have only ever been assumed here because of the way he’s carried himself….

You are angry. Surely you could be passionate about something that got you less riled up? Can't be good for your health.Yep - his mental problems have only ever been very low IQ and huge ego!!
And he has banked roughly $450K this year - as "piss off don't come back" money from TWO teams on opposite sides of the globe!
These bleeding hearts need to spare their tears for someone more deserving of sympathy!
You are one angry person. Surely you could be passionate about something that got you less riled up? Can't be good for your health.
How many tries have you scored in the NRL? You have no idea what's going on behind the scenes. Have you stopped to consider maybe he doesn't want to open up about his issues? You just go on these rants not because you dislike the person but because we have experienced so much failure. Maybe step aside and take time away from the game, but this is just me being an armchair psychologist, do as you please sir.Don't like incompetent wage thieves!
Keep supporting ex-failures Champ!

I'm angry about those here who are so sympathetic for a bloke who earned above his ability - and wasted his career due to hubris - but still cashed in on his terminated contracts...You are one angry person. Surely you could be passionate about something that got you less riled up? Can't be good for your health.
That whole diatribe is the definition of straw man ! How do you know what people will and wouldn’t advocate for .I'm angry about the tossers here who are so sympathetic for a bloke who earned above his ability - and wasted his career due to hubris - but still cashed in on his terminated contracts...
Same people who would not give a shit about anyone anonymous who genuinely struggle with mental health - poverty and homelessness - WITHOUT all the leg-ups - preferential treatment - and capacity to be better if they were prepared to put in the work like David!
So-called "mentors" like Lee and Justin have only ingrained and facilitated his dependency issues - and never called him out until Benji did this year!
He is not a charity case - and you don't have to look far in this world right now to find people who are far more deserving of the fake tears and faux empathy than this guy just because you liked him as a player!
More needs to be done regarding player welfare post retirement. I was reading an article about John Sutton yesterday, he struggled a lot and experienced bad depression in the years following his retirement. He definitely would not be alone. When your identity is an NRL player it's hard to transition to the next phase of your life.
Different management ! Are you serious right now . You know who else didn’t get looked after , KErRy HeLmslEy !He is no longer our problem - and refused help when it was offered!
Did the club look after Taniela after his PHYSICAL injury?
Nothing I said in my post was incorrect!
Blinkered idiot he is!
Kerry Hemsley - WTF are you on about?Different management ! Are you serious right now . You know who else didn’t get looked after , KErRy HeLmslEy !
You’ve literally lost the plot ! The whole reason they’re looking after Nofa is because of the shit job they did with Taniela and the old boys .
You’re clutching at straws proving my whole point . You’re making shit up because your butt hurt in the way he left the club , and the bad performances he put in .
And by the way , no one is justifying that . It was disgraceful , and he should be ashamed of himself .
But if he winds up hanging from is garage roof , because he couldn’t deal with his sharp decline in both form and mental health , and the whole arrogance and ego that propels elite sportsman also almost always is the thing that undoes them . Ie. they can’t transition to be a bit player/ club man . then is not the clubs responsibility to have a duty of care around that ?
Even if it’s just allowing him to come to LO and watch the boys run around .
You’re either really young , or really emotionally immature . It’s not weak to be able to forgive . Especially with how spectacularly and obviously Nofa has failed himself .
