If they sack Madge they should appoint Flanagan, we’ll have a chance of improving next year, I know he’s done wrong in the past, would be watched closely in future , WT is a poisoned chalice for a newby coach

No interest in Flanagan.

You or the club ?

Me lol

You’s all want Madge punted …
You can’t whinge about his replacement!

I'd prefer Madge to Flanagan, hell I'd prefer you.

I’d break the mediocrity boys club

What's new?
Wests Tigers getting trashed from pillar to post.
Been the sad story forever.
All we crave is leadership, to take us to the promised land.
Not too much, surely.

A well run club would not proceed with a coach that half the board want gone, he would be gone end of story, but I did say well run club.

This is a shambles. Club needs to make an announcement on Madge today. We look like a basket case. If no board meeting, call an emergency once to sort this mess out

Why?

The uncertainty, speculation and self-serving leaks are trashing our already trashed image.

It appears based off The Pom, and I believe him, that the review has already been done, but the board are now fighting over its findings, and certain board members are leaking to the media to try and advance their own preferred outcomes of coach, regardless of what the review actually found.

I dont care how long it takes as long as they get it right. If they are going to punt Madge I want them to know who is next and that he is available. There is no artificial timetable to makes fans or media happy.

Can you imagine if they rush out a release that Madge is gone, to make fans and media happy but them all alternatives pull out? It would be a disaster.

Sounds like it’s inevitable he’s gone.

Feel sorry for Madge, he’s had to work with $2 million of the salary cap taken up with Reynolds, Mbye and Packer. He’s also being made the scapegoat of the reason we can’t attract players when we all know we haven’t been able to attract players since Sheens left.

Nerdy lawyer bloke tries to defend us on radio and usually makes it worse. Need our own version of Gus.

Heard the same optimism when Madge was linked to us. It’s going to end in tears whoever it is. If it’s Flanagan, when he fails it will be his fault.

7 Kyle Flannagan ?

The threads are going to be great.

Kyle played a lot of his junior footy at hooker like his father.

Your not suggesting he would be a better hooker than Liddle?

No. I believe there were unrealistic expectations placed upon him when he signed with the Roosters. I believe he has much to offer in the utility role. Also you get Kyle, his mate will most likely end up with him.

Who's that?

Lachlan Lewis?

Yeah, that's the guy with the Boom Box on his shoulder.

If Madge does get punted, do you think he will get a job elsewhere?

If no-one else would take him, should we keep him?

If he doesn't get a job anywhere else, we could hire him back at a bargain basement price which would fit in with the policy of not paying overs.

Panthers are so boring hate for Ciraldo to bring cleary ball over here.

Really keen for some 2005 ball.

All that boring defence.......

The best our front office looked is when Go was the chair of the board. I want Lee demoted back to sponsor and Pascoe given the flick, our brand has been dragged through the mud with these 2 calling the shots.

I read it as they want Ciraldo, but they are wetting their pants with all the bad media and are second guessing what punting Madge will look like in the media.
A well run club would have another coach lined up, maybe they have I don't know, but they would announce Madge is gone and they thank him but are now moving in another direction.
I just can't see how Madge can stay knowing there are half the board or more who want him sacked, it's untenable now

They averaged over 28 points a game, whilst conceding only 11.9 points per game, I will take that kind of boring over anything we have produced in the last 3 years

Keep Madge, hire proper administrators and let them decide next year. Whatever the decision, this club has stuffed up another 'process'. Do we have no understanding about how the media works? We're absolute fodder for them, they're so damn embarrassing and whichever way they go they've somehow managed to tarnish the reputation of the club by flip flopping once again to the media. Just awful.

Thanks for reply. I don’t want to believe that the board is having their decisions influenced by what the media think, IMO that’s just reckless…

I agree they shouldn’t be changing directions without a replacement lined up and the review should have made their decision for them until they did. (So logic tells me that they do, we can only hope).

I know but ZZZzzzz,,,

Thought twice about commenting on unfounded information and rumours, but hey, why not join in. I was big a few months back at laying the blame for the WT mess at the boards feet …. And if a shred of what’s been reported today is true…..then I will ante up again and say we have a terrible board with no leadership, poor understanding of culture and how to lead an organisation, especially a football organisation. Till there is a huge blood letting at that level…the same crap will keep happening. Most of them have had more than enough time to show their abilities and have been found severely lacking. IMHO.

If they want ciraldo they can just sack madge and say their doing their " due process "

So no one wants Madge to stay by all accounts apart from myself , i just believe in the good ol aussie fair go however that’s prob a thing of the past .I would just like to see him be allowed to honour his contract

How can you give a fair go to a coach who, by his attitude, does reek respect from his players? It's untenable and Tigers are much better off seeking the right type of replacement..
