Tim Simona facing three week ban!

Time for Taylor to stand up and be a man for his players and complain to all the media about the double standards.
It may not help in this case but would at least let them know he's ready to put the blowtorch on their performance and jobs.
Not much chance he will, though.

I'm worried CK , I agree with you

What pees me off is that Simona goes in and pleaded guilty /asks for a down grade and cops the extra week .

No justice at all !

Absolutely none Hobbo. Not for WT players anyway.

I would pass the job of blowtorching to Robbie - he has form in that regard.

Come on, look at the positives, the nrl didn't cop any negative press that I heard, the judiciary looks tough again after the weak effort and deserved criticism relating to the kapow incident where he attacked a bird and Newcastle will be happy because their opposition this week has lost an established centre and finally another player at Wests tigers will get an opportunity. See so there are plenty if positives but that aside I still think it sucks…........

Wests Tigers’ Tim Simona handed three-week ban at NRL judiciary

WESTS Tigers centre Tim Simona will miss the next three rounds after failing to have a crusher tackle charge downgraded at the NRL judiciary.

Simona was hit with a grade-two dangerous contact charge for a tackle on Cronulla’s Jack Bird in the Shark’s 34-26 win on Saturday at Campbelltown Stadium.

He pleaded guilty but attempted to have the charge downgraded on Wednesday night at the judiciary.

Had he accepted the early guilty plea, the Samoan international would have only sat out the next fortnight but, instead, will miss the side’s games against Newcastle, Melbourne and Canberra.

Coach Jason Taylor has not named a replacement for Simona for Sunday’s away match against Newcastle, with speedster Joshua Addo-Carr a chance to come into the backline.

Well - now we do know for sure that the MRC and the judiciary are totally incompetent. We also know now for sure that there are double standards relating to how some clubs e.g. Manly, Roosters, Bulldogs, Brisbane etc. and their players are treated on charges and how the lesser clubs like Wests Tigers are treated for the same or lesser charges.

This also applies on the field and how referees determine penalties - there is no consistency at all and it is no good looking at penalty numbers because the referees quite often give the lesser clubs penalties at times and positions on the field that do not really count at all apart from covering up a lopsided penalty count.

If the management of the NRL are going to continually ignore these blatant discrepancies by putting their heads in the sand or hoping nobody notices what is going on, they are bigger fools than I give them credit for.

Well Mr Grant, Mr Greenberg et al are you actually going to do something about this or just stay behind locked doors to count the TV money for the one hundredth time. This has been going on for years and Wests Tigers for one (Balmain and Western Suburbs) before that, have been suffering this form of cheating (because that is what it is) for donkeys years.

Well, we are starting to get sick of it and it is starting to show up over the last years in falling attendances which are only going to get lower if this fiasco continues. Hype yourselves all you like about the "Greatest Game of all" etc. The NRL management, referees, judiciary and the MRC are turning the game into a laughing stock. You have taken this great game of ours and have made it into a temporary money making machine - but only until everyone wakes up to what a complete joke this game is turning into.

You are 100% correct Russell as a man in his 60s i am totally fed up with the way we are treated and have been ever since i was a kid.As you said both Balmain and Western Suburbs have always been treated like scum and it continues now.The bias against us both on and off the field is a total disgrace

Next offence I expect to see Marty see a good stint on the sideline. What a farce.

Its only fair and just if every offender gets equal justice but it WONT happen CB, sadly we all know it
And that to me is the most hurtful thing from the Simona treatment

Addo-Carr? I thought he was a winger. Does that mean Rankin will be playing centre or MCK and Rankin out? Or is it just a jurno from News.com speculating

Heres a thought guys and please keep it civil,it is only a thought…..

Moses to centre and Littlejohn to the halves (or Rankin to centres not real sure)and Addo Car to wing...

Lets be fairdinkum,we dont know how anything will workout if we dont try it...as I said in another thread maybe JT doesnt want to change something thats going to go from bad to worse...

Yep either Rankin into the centres or Chee-Kam into the team are our options.

Moses into the centre TT- Good to see people thinking outside the box but Nooooooooo

Don't you ever get tired of bashing our coach?? I for one am sick of it. As my Mother used to say, " If you can't say something nice about someone, say nothing at all". Give it a rest or go somewhere else.

Hey Col,take another valium before you go off…I was referring to JT not having enough depth to replace Simona with,he may not want to replace him with someone of less quality in a specialist position..hence if he makes a bad decision it could be worse for the team....got that Col...take your dear Mums advice....
