Tim Simona facing three week ban!

I think it's more likely that milone or Lovett will play centre tbh. I'm dreading it but will be totally surprised if he picks someone else

I am glad most here will never be an NRL coach…one player suspended and half the side has to be rearranged .The myth is a decent player but hardly a world beater filling his position should be no problem ,there are options here .

Well - now we do know for sure that the MRC and the judiciary are totally incompetent. We also know now for sure that there are double standards relating to how some clubs e.g. Manly, Roosters, Bulldogs, Brisbane etc. and their players are treated on charges and how the lesser clubs like Wests Tigers are treated for the same or lesser charges.

This also applies on the field and how referees determine penalties - there is no consistency at all and it is no good looking at penalty numbers because the referees quite often give the lesser clubs penalties at times and positions on the field that do not really count at all apart from covering up a lopsided penalty count.

If the management of the NRL are going to continually ignore these blatant discrepancies by putting their heads in the sand or hoping nobody notices what is going on, they are bigger fools than I give them credit for.

Well Mr Grant, Mr Greenberg et al are you actually going to do something about this or just stay behind locked doors to count the TV money for the one hundredth time. This has been going on for years and Wests Tigers for one (Balmain and Western Suburbs) before that, have been suffering this form of cheating (because that is what it is) for donkeys years.

Well, we are starting to get sick of it and it is starting to show up over the last years in falling attendances which are only going to get lower if this fiasco continues. Hype yourselves all you like about the "Greatest Game of all" etc. The NRL management, referees, judiciary and the MRC are turning the game into a laughing stock. You have taken this great game of ours and have made it into a temporary money making machine - but only until everyone wakes up to what a complete joke this game is turning into.

You are 100% correct Russell as a man in his 60s i am totally fed up with the way we are treated and have been ever since i was a kid.As you said both Balmain and Western Suburbs have always been treated like scum and it continues now.The bias against us both on and off the field is a total disgrace

It's an interesting point. A couple of aspects really rub me the wrong way:

- Firstly it has been said that the judiciary was "making a statement". What the????? This infers that future infringements will be dealt with harshly. Surely any incident must be judged on its merits, not what has gone before it or what will come after it. So are we to think they 'got tough' on Simona to send a message? Please!!! This is not equal judging.

- Secondly the way teams are refereed. We know the refs use 'cheat sheets' so that they look out for certain individuals or teams that are known offenders of some rules.
This is also not 'equal' refereeing! Each and every team should be refereed and judged on how they perform on the day - not how they performed last week last month or last season!!

If we are poor at wrestling or being square at marker let the ref look at that on the day and in the context of the contest. Paying special attention to it will simply encourage more and more penalties for it while giving a warning to the other team. That makes it very hard to break the cycle…

Burn the cheat sheets please. We'll never get a fair go on the day otherwise.

As for the judiciary... well I got no answer for that one. Same ol' same ol'

There are some decent options to come in for Simona, and we all know it will be Milone sad but more than likely true. My preferred option is JAC to the wing and Rankin to centre because JT seems intent on picking Rankin anyway.

Got a feeling this next 3 weeks could make or brek us.

We have no one near first grade standard to cover anyone from 1-5 in our backline.

So with Simona out I was trying to remember what happened to last year's backup centre Deloise Hoeter. A quick google search revealed the train wreck where his missus lost the plot after the Tigers dropped him.

Chee Kam was 18th man for 2 matches, and training primarily at centre. He's also been playing second row in recent weeks. If he was so close to first grade previously, to ignore him for Milone (who's been in awful form) would be a slap in the face to the notion that hard work will get you an opportunity when injury arises.

Chance Peni and Chee Kam would be our two options, with only the latter in our top 25\. Rankin can't be any worse at centre than he is at wing so that could be worth a go but i doubt Taylor would want too many changes.

Agree with this if Milone is selected over others Taylor is a bigger joke than I thought!..Rankin has played heaps of centre ,with this selection alone opens 2 positions a winger can be brought up for his wing spot. This weeks selections will show if Taylor has the smarts or is just a mug.

I nominated Milone on Tuesday morning as a bit of stir to try and rev the forum up. Much to my horror it will happen. Are we all blind??? Loyalty from a coach is one thing but brain dead selections I do not get.

Do remember last year at LO, all he had to do was catch a pass that hit him in the bread basket, run about three steps to score and he dropped it cold. Right up the with Laurie's bombed try in the howler stakes
